AITA for telling a child I met less than two months ago that I had to think about it when they asked if I loved them?
So recently my sister and her fiancé have been taking care of one of his cousins that was placed in their care by child services. I have been spending some time with them like maybe a max of five times over the past six or seven weeks. I have never met them prior to this. I’ve played board games, did one babysitting type session, went to dinner with twice, and one time we went swimming. I really care for the child and would like to think we are forming a bond but today when they asked me if I loved them at a family dinner. I said I had to think about it and that I care about her deeply. My cousin explained that sometimes it’s hard for people to say how they feel and it takes time to develop those feelings. I fully agree. However my sister thinks that I’m basically evil for not just saying I loved her. While they asked if I loved them, I want to mention that my sister said at least five times just say it just say it. I didn’t feel like saying it at that time.
