one of the heads are opened up huge and spread out, was wondering if it should be getting more flow/light?

having trouble keeping rft males alive all of a sudden and all shrimplets die within a week. tank was fine for months and now shrimp are dropping dead, mostly males i’ve noticed anyone have a clue why? i haven’t added anything new to the tank
