Arriving early

I have booked a room in Jarrat hall (university accommodation). But then I realised it starts on 19th of September, while I have hospital appointments before that. I am an international student so once I arrive to the UK I will be staying for the whole semester. Can I arrive before 19th and still enter my accommodation? If I ask them and give them my hospital appointments will they give me early access to my room?

I have my things in storage in Birmingham so I don’t prefer airbnb or hotel because that will make me move my stuff twice, but if the accommodation won’t let me enter, then I will have to.

For medicine students

I am starting first year medicine this September, and I am international so I am absolutely oblivious of how teaching actually is and what the curriculum looks like in the UK.
What do you guys study in the first year? I am aware the curriculum had some changes recently but like do we study anatomy and physiology? In my city’s school we used to study half the anatomy in the first year and then the other half in the second year so is it similar? What about placements, what do we do there as first year students?
Tell me whatever I am just curious
