I have read somewhere that the romans never banished the Jews outside of Judea. And that the Jews were the majority of the galilee (the northern part of Israel and maybe even some parts of southern lebanon) up until the 6th century or maybe even till Islamic conquest.

Edit: the reason I am asking is partly because in the 600s the Jews with the help of the persians performed a coup/revoult in the area and even controled Jerusalem breifly before being conquered back for like a decade or two to finally being conquered by the Muslims.

I have read somewhere that solar energy due to it being a passive way of genrating electricty is not considered work i.e avoda. I am rather skeptical, so any opinions?

Btw this is a honest question

Hi I am Israeli and well, hilloni. Always liked the religion. Could not get into it.

I was born and rised hilloni. I went to a yeshiva after school at highschool (to get higher scores at tanakh studies but thats beyond the point lol - it was fun though).

But due to national service and prepering to university, attending became too akward because I went for a two to three months post high school then a very intensive part of life came (a health problem) and due to loss of attendence it was too akward to step into the synagouge.

There is a new synagouge being built in my street so I might go there once it is finished but in the meantime. What did you/do you do to get closer to the religion. I started to pray before food with the usual prayers, I did not do a bar mitzva hence I have no tfilin and I only get like 406$ a month from the national service so buying or renting it is not a possiblity.

My question is bassically: how did you become more religious?
