What was the series that *really* got you into reading manga?

What was the series that *really* got you into reading manga?

For me it was 10,000% chainsaw man. Prior to reading chainsaw man back in early 2022, I’d never really read much manga. I couldn’t get into them. But chainsaw man changed that. I binged the whole series in a few days because I was absolutely addicted. This was also the manga that got me into art and what has inspired me to become a comic/manga author. I wouldn’t have come so far in my art progress were it not for chainsaw man. I can safely say that this is what made me a regular manga reader

Your favourite character that discriminates against others based on immutable characteristics

A character that is only popular 100% for their looks and literally no other aspect

I’m not talking about characters that are *primarily* liked for their looks. I’m talking about characters where looks are the ONLY reason they are liked. I hate to disrespect Bambietta because she’s hot but I have to be dead honest

What’s a friendship in anime that feels very forced/inorganic?

Deku shouldn’t have been friends with bakugo. If this were real life, that’s not how this would have gone down even if bakugo had changed for the better

I want to get my 13 year old brother hooked on anime. Give me some recommendations (read description)

He’s 13 and he absolutely loves the tv show Invincible. I tried to get him into attack on titan but he didn’t enjoy it. Some of his friends watch anime and he knows and recognises anime but he just doesn’t really watch them it seems. Don’t know if it’s relevant but he was obsessed with squid game and he’s into Korean tv shows it appears (not the love stories). But yeah he loves Invincible and he didn’t like Attack On Titan. He’s also watched the one piece live action series and he seems to love it. I really don’t think he’d like the one piece anime though. Although he’s never explicitly said it, I suspect he either finds anime in general to be boring or cringe. Knowing this information, what’s the absolute perfect gateway anime for him? My nephews are obsessed with Jujutsu kaisen so I’ve been thinking about telling him to check that out. Of course it’s also possible he may just not like anime and that’s perfectly fine. I’m not gonna hound him about it lol

Do you think it’s weird or cringe for a grown man to have a waifu?

I personally don’t. If it helps somebody to cope with how shit the economy is, I don’t see an issue. But I’m interested to know what you guys think since a lot of people do find it weird it seems. My family included lol

A character you love that would probably reject you if she were a real person?

I think Mikasa is sexy and beautiful but I just know she would not like me at all if she were a real person lol

What is your most unpopular opinion regarding the series?

Character that you think has a very high sex drive

I think Yor probably has a strong sex drive. That’s just how she comes across to me

Which European country is Shinobu from?

It’s never stated that she’s from Europe but you can deduce that she is by the architecture and environment that’s shown in waza. So now, where exactly in Europe is she from?
