how to keep a world going

hello fellow MC survival players. In the last 3 years I have gone through 4 worlds, my first world was hardcore which I lost within the first 2ish months of playing on it, a second which I played on for about 1.5 years, but got into building, and started playing around with things like color pallets, shaping, and shadows, but once I got back couldn't stand the sight of my old oak and cobble builds, the 3rd I had for about 5 months but forgot to backup after updating to the new chaos cubed update and my file got corrupted and would've lost about a month and a half worth of work from where my previous save file was if I kept my world, and this current world which I've been playing on for a month. I love Minecraft and building and am really hoping if you had any advice on ensuring that this is a true forever world as my current track record is at best I have a year and a half and want to play a lot longer. thanks for any help or advice you can give. I've attached some images of my current world for viewing pleasure. P.S. I play non-hardcore survival because I'm historically bad at staying alive, and on an older PC that doesn't run games well and many mods crash my PC so I play completely vanilla, so if for whatever reason your advice involves mods in some way I sadly won't be able to use it.

Studio Ghibli inspired cottage

I bought an art book about Hayao Miyazaki and his creative process and this cottage from Spirited Aways been living in my head rent free so I made an inspired build in my survival world, not a 1-1 faithful recreation but just something slightly adjacent in color palette and setting

Weird question about completing RDR2

I have a weird question, is it worth it to spend the 100+ hours it takes to beat RDR2, like in it's entirety, I have beat the game in the sense of the story, but haven't actually done many of the stranger missions or really done anything towards completing the game in it's entirety, and was wondering if its worth it to completely reset my save and do EVERYTHING that the game has to offer, I'm on summer break from school right now and honestly don't have that much to do for the next 4ish months except a few work related things, and really want to re-explore this title as I haven't played it in 2 years and highly enjoyed it. But let me know if this is a challenge worth participating or if it's more worth it to just replay the main story like I did last time? (also sorry if this is in the wrong sub or flair, I'm not a regular on reddit and just put it where I assumed this question would get the most accurate replies, thnxs)
