Need purchasing help on next floor mattress/futon - TFS or bust?!
My husband and I have slept on a floor mattress off and on since 2018 and were exclusively on a traditional 3” futon (a very cheap one though) and a tatami mat on top of hard wood floor from 2018-2021, so we’re not foreign to the practice! We then switched to a sleep number traditional bed because well we got older and “thought” our sleeping on the floor life wasn’t as “adult” completely ridiculous, but such is life.
Now we really want to go back but get something quality. I’m still leaning towards a futon on a platform bed with thicker tatami mats to raise off the floor a little.
There are a million comments on this thread hating The Futon Shop but they seem to be the only one that supports a traditional king sizing with quality materials. So if you hate them please elaborate on why and what a potential solution or alternative is!
