I have registered consumer complaint through a site called (consumercomplaintsindia) now they want ₹7200 "drafting charges" after claiming settlement

Hi everyone,

I need some urgent advice. I filed a consumer complaint against Samsung on a website called consumercomplaininida for a defective product.

Here's what happened step by step:

They charged me ₹1549 as registration fees.

They sent me a legal notice via email and asked me to print it and send it via Speed Post to some address.

Now they're saying Samsung has agreed to a compromise — ₹48,000 refund for the product + ₹78,000 compensation.

But before releasing the money, they're asking me to pay ₹7,200 as "drafting charges".

They're also asking for my father's name, nearest post office address, and bank account details.

This whole thing feels very suspicious now. Why would they ask for more money after claiming the settlement is already agreed? It sounds like a classic scam where they keep asking for small-to-medium payments.

Has anyone dealt with consumercomplaininida before? Is this a legitimate consumer forum or just another scam portal?

I’m really confused and don’t want to lose more money. Any advice would be appreciated — especially from people familiar with consumer courts or similar cases in India.

Should I proceed ahead with them or ignore the claim of them that Samsung has agreed for the compromise. Please help me with this I am really confused at this point. I think I have already lost Rs.1549 now I don't want to lose another Rs.7200 as it is a huge amount for me.

Thanks!

Need advice on filing Consumer Court case against Samsung India for defective product & poor service

I am planning to file a consumer complaint against Samsung India for a defective product and extremely poor after-sales service. I would really appreciate guidance on how to proceed, what documents I need, which consumer forum to approach (District, State, or National), expected timeline, possible relief (replacement/refund + compensation), and any similar experiences or tips.

Background & Timeline:

I purchased a 1.5 ton ac from Samsung.

Within 15 days of purchase, I reported the defect to the service center.

A part replacement was carried out after proper diagnosis by the technicians.

Despite this, the issue continued. The Head Office team visited three times and recorded similar data/logs each time.

In one visit (November), Jett Cleaning was also performed, but the problem persisted.

Recent Developments:

The ASM is now insisting on another round of Jett Cleaning for further resolution. I am refusing this because it has already been tried and multiple Head Office visits have shown the same data.

When I raised my concerns, my case handler connected me to her senior.

The senior denied the entire previous service history, even though it is documented. He specifically said the room temperatures recorded in two visits (25.7°C and 26°C) cannot be considered similar.

He also claimed that I did not receive a defective product despite the repairs done and my complaint within 15 days.

He accused me without any basis and tried to protect the company’s image instead of resolving the issue.

I repeatedly asked for service reports/records from all visits (which technicians are supposed to provide), but I have not received any till date they denied.

They are not answering my queries properly and are simply blaming me.

I have been a loyal Samsung customer, but this experience has been extremely frustrating and harassing. The product remains faulty, and the service team is denying documented facts and avoiding accountability.

My Questions:

Can I file a case under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 for defective goods + deficiency in service + unfair trade practice?

What compensation can I realistically claim (product replacement/refund + mental harassment + costs)?

Which documents should I attach? (I have a case number, call recordings?

Can I use the call recordings as the evidence they have been manipulative there and in total I have 40-50 call recordings saved with different escalation members?

I have raised this to NCH and now 1 month has passed and they have closed my case because Samsung informed them that what I am demanding is not feasible from their end.

Now NCH is asking me to file a case against Samsung in consumer court through the online process.

Any recent judgments or similar cases against Samsung or other electronics brands that can help?

Any other advice or precautions while filing?

I am ready to gather all evidence and proceed. Please share your valuable suggestions.

Please help me here I am being harassed by Samsung for a year and half. Thanks in advance!

If anybody wants to do so I would really appreciate that.
