Too many parents on bicycles in this city are out of control.

In the span of two hours today I saw three separate adults on bicycles with children on the back blow through stops signs in the Sunset and Richmond with vehicles at the intersection. I fully support having a more bicycle friendly city. Drivers in San Francisco receive criticism for unsafe driving and deservedly so but a significant number of bicyclists seem to think the rules don’t apply to them either. If you think running through a stop sign on a bicycle with a child on the back is acceptable, please do the child a favor and sell your bicycle.

Edit: something tells me the people on here defending parents on bicycles running stops signs at 15mph+ with their children on the back would be the most outraged if an accident involving a vehicle were to occur. This isn’t an anti-bicycle post or a referendum on bicyclists. If you want to be stupid on a bicycle, leave your child at home.
