I think what hurts the most is that LUMS was never just a university to me. It was the place I had quietly imagined myself ending up, the future I kept working toward without realizing how attached I had become to it.
Now that it's gone, the world feels bigger than it did before. Not in an exciting way, but in a lost kind of way. The path that once felt so clear suddenly doesn't exist anymore.
I know one rejection doesn't define me, but it's hard not to grieve a dream that meant so much. For now, I'll let myself be sad, because some dreams deserve to be mourned before they're replaced.
