i was able to play again after 2 ish months! but this time i noticed smt kinda weird/off.. before, during expert charts, i would get noticably more fast compared to lates, this was when i used around 4.5 (the recommended expert speed) for both tap/touch, and no offset adjustment whatsoever

but now, suddenly, i'm getting 100+ fasts? 😭😭😭

it's only today where i bumped my speed up to around 5.00 - 5.50, and at times i even tweaked my offset to -0.1 or -0.2 A (0.0 B) (even though all this time before this, i never tweak it, i.e. leave A/B both 0.0)...... but in reality i don't know what i'm doing 😭🥹💔

i definitely have prior experience in advanced and expert charts, but i just find this situation as an itch in my brain i really wanna scratch 🫠🫠 so if anyone has any advice or suggestions, i rlly appreciate it, thank you!!!

anyway, this happened saturday last week (8/1), and i got some questions again!

• is this [RATING UP!] c+'s equivalent of the [COLOR CHANGE] i got last time?

a bit of a context for this next one... during this time, i was with a friend of mine and we were planning to play together, but there were other people who also wanted to play! so my friend and i let them play with us 🙂‍↕️ i.e. randos on p1, then me & my friend alternating on p2, that's why the difficulties were fluctuating on expert and basic 😭

• was it allowed for me to let my friend play on the cab which had my card logged in?

after a while, both of js had to leave while we were in the middle of the session (i.e. after track 2/4, we had to leave the arcade), but i realized that i still had my card logged in on one of the cabs 😭

i checked my maimai dx net, then i saw these 2 plays that weren't by me (i.e. rando did it on the cab i was logged in on) ...

• is it allowed to have an (almost) no-miss play on a cab? cause i feel like me leaving mid-session + coming back to find these 2 plays as a waste of my credit 😭 what should i do if something like this happens next time?

• if ever i want to play with earphones, when exactly should i plug them in? i was planning to do so during my netsu ijou/熱異常 run (track 2/4), but i didn't hear much from my earphones, so idk if i did something wrong. 😭 mine are the ones w the 3.5mm jack though 🙏

• any advice on how to improve in general? i feel like i can lock in on expert 10+s if i have earphones, or if the surroundings are less packed, or if i play enough... idk though 😭

i want to be sleeping rn but this has BUGGED me for the past week or so. anyway

perhaps some of y'all noticed that my rating was going up from my recent post, the 【MORE MORE maimai progress!!】 one! it's because i had bought my first aime card at the time 🙂‍↕️

i registered it, and logged into Aime and Maimai DX NET entirely using my Facebook login (as I did not have a SEGA ID at the time).

a few hours later, i created a brand-new, empty SEGA ID.

while logged into that new SEGA ID, I tried to link my Facebook account to it.

i refreshed the page to see if it worked.

but instead of merging my data, the Sega system somehow ripped my Facebook login away from my original Aime account and snapped it onto the brand-new, empty SEGA ID.

thus, right now, my original account is now a "ghost account" with zero login methods attached to it, but it is still holding my physical Aime card hostage in the database.

my new SEGA ID is completely empty (Maimai DX NET asks for an access code). but when I type my physical card's 20-digit code into it, the Aime site gives me the red box error: このアクセスコードは他のアカウントに登録されて いるため登録できません。(エラーNo. AMPEWL1012).

i also sent detailed emails to sls_kaigai@sega.com from both my main and backup emails over 5 days ago, but I have received zero replies or automated confirmations. (see pics)

tldr, tried to link my Facebook login (which had my real maimai data) to a new SEGA ID. the system somehow unlinked FB from my old account, leaving my real data stranded on a "ghost account." npw my card is locked out, and trying to register it gives Error AMPEWL1012. Sega Support aint replying to my emails too 😭

and once again, i would really appreciate any and all advice here !!! 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ i tried everything i could, but nothing worked to let me access my plays again. 😭 (closest thing i could do is buy a new card and try to transfer the data over...?)

taken over the course of a month and around a week? (6/16/2026 - 7/22/2026, thus all of these are still from CiRCLE) all of these are at 3 different locations!

technically, i started to actually (regularly-ish) play around 2 months ago! i wasn't really that big on the game when i first started, but when i played again last may... yeah i think i'm starting to get addicted 🥹

now, here are my questions:

• i got fc-1 on リアライズ (Realize, one of my faves!!) expert!! is that a good thing for me?

• speaking about fcs, what's the main gauge to tell that someone's really good/cracked in the game? cause usually, it's based around FCs and APs (ehem me when pjsk ehem 🥹), but i heard that in maimai, it's based on the score rankings (e.g. SS, SSS+)?

• what settings should you have at the middle and top of the screen? sometimes i see people with a 101.0000% at the start, and some others have some ACHIEVEMENT, some have a CRITICAL PERFECT/PERFECT/GREAT/GOOD/MISS counter at the top, and uhhh... yeah idk 🫠 (personally i just have the combo, as that's what i'm used to 😭)

• what difficulty/level are those people who just play for fun? i personally want to get just a bit better (ehem realize ex fc when 🥹 ehem) but i don't wanna get thaaattt cracked, as i cannot go to the arcade and blow my money out everyday 😭

• are my overall stats good? 😭 i genuinely can't tell if i'm already good for someone who started recently, but as of rn i just aim for any good fcs on my favorite songs 🥹 can you tell i play pjsk.......

• how close/far should i stand from the cab when playing? what should be my ideal posture? i'm shorter than the cab, and back then i move a lot whenever i'm playing, but i found that standing straight-ish/not moving upper body a lot kinda works for some songs (ehem realize 🥹🩷 ehem)??? but it doesn't work for some others too (netsu ijou ex... i feel like i have to move a lot there 😭)

hello! (first time posting here, kinda nervous /hj (especially w all the high rankers in here... anyway))

a bit of a backstory, i managed to get my hands on maimai again recently! first time i played was around 2023/2024, but i was able to play again after 2 years.

based on my recent attempts here (first 8 pics was during may 23, i'm the one on the left — the last 3 were from a few hours ago), should i move on to easy experts already, or should i consistently try fcing advanced first?

also, what's a good note speed for me to build on? i found that the reco speed for expert (4.50?) was a bit unexpected for me, but i was able to adjust accordingly (see recent realize fc-1). the reco speed for advanced though (3.00) i find a bit slower for me, but i got a (my first!) full combo with that (kyoufuu all back!!)

not sure if this helps but i have a good amount of experience in project sekai 🙂‍↕️ (my speed is 11.4 there, and my highest fc/clear is their expert and master 28)
