So the new maintenance hours will kick in next month.

The change will allow for it to become more friendly with USA / Canadian timezones (which has concerned some North American players as well as North American arcade operators who were concerned about sales loss during non-NA friendly time zones)
however
the flipside is that it has upset some players from Hong Kong, Taiwan and possibly Korea (since a number of them still play past midnight in their timezone)
What do you think about these changes?
Or are you for it?
Against it?
Different opinion maybe?
Or simply just don't care?
Feel free to leave comments and your thoughts about it.....
For starters, I am very comfortable at consistently S-SS+ most 13 masters (haven't had a 100% yet due to prioritizing my personal task tracks that are experts) but for some reason, my sightread with OTEMO☆Yan should be atleast an S, so I was honestly really surprised that I mess up at the double taps at the end.
Is this skill issue or is it really just hard? And what can I do to execute those doubles, since I could've sworn I hit them all in time, but the results are more often than not, great.
New updates for King of Performai just released, here’s at least some.

I'm a brand new player, just working my way up from advanced. Currently have my speed set to 3.5, getting S/SS range on Advanced tracks, but my only low Expert attempts were barely passes, 80-85% range.
I tried moving up to 4.0, but at that point small patterns seemed to come up way too fast to follow.
I'm a long time DDR player, so I expected my sight reading to be pretty good, but seeing that most players are on speed 6.5+ blew my mind. Is there some trick to reading patterns at that speed? Am I just getting too old for this shit?
Hi everyone, I'm new to Maimai (around maybe 50 songs played?) and wanted to learn on how to play well so someday I can do a Master 14 but right now I am stuck in 10 hitting at 90-92% accuracy. My general problem is sightreading as I cannot seem to follow the circle well when they moved, like around 3 circle within a timespan and my brain malfunction or something. How do you guys do it? Like do I need to be at a type of position to have the whole view of the machine, and a change in speed? What usually should be a good settings for players
Any help would be nice as I am focus on playing more of this game, it's really fun.
just out of curiosity, i was wondering how many times a week and for how long do u guys usually play. to start off, i usually go about 3 times a week and play for about 4 hours.
Hi, I’m about to start playing maimai for the first time and searching for an arcade center with maimai machines (and if possible, a mate to play with too). Do you guys have any idea where they are?
there's this well-known 14k in my arcade who just started playing maimai maybe a couple months ago. he hit 14k quite fast but he grinds a lot. and i mean a lot. this guy gives the impression like he wants to be good fast so he tries to play 14 and 14+s only and he likes to complain whenever people want to play 13+ or lower. funnily, all except one 14 he has s or lower. nothing special except that one which is usatei. now for some reason he likes playing it so much. i personally dont like the chart and my friends would also agree. he has like 50+ play count on it because he really wants an sss+ and one day he did achieve that and he started boasting like hell on our arcade's discord calling it "the produest moment of his life." now that was ok ig but here's what made me really annoyed: ever since he has gotten sss+, EVERY single time he pairs with someone he will always play usatei even if he has paired with the same partner like he is trying to nonchalantly boast his "pride". i, my friends and other regulars have experienced it and get annoyed with it. here's the most annoying part: if his partner scores lower than him, he smirks trying to feel superior. this is even more strengthened when the partner is 16k and they get a lower score. of course every other song the partner plays he gets lower and acts like he doesnt care. oh and btw he stinks.
what would u guys do in this situation? am i the asshole for thinking like this?
Basically there is this girl at Orchard timezone who slams the machine. VERY HARD. I go to orchard timezone sometimes, and whenever she plays, you can hear the banging even before you reach the machine. It's not even challenging charts (14 or 14+), she's playing like experts.
Last weekend, I went up to tell her, 'you may damage the machine like that, could you tap more softly, it'll still register?'. But, she just gave me an unhappy look and continued bashing the machine. The buttons at the machines at orchard seem to be getting spoiled more often, although she may not be the only one bashing it (But I've seen her before months ago, so she could be doing all that cumulative damage).
Any one have any idea what to do here? People should at least change their behaviour once you call them out on it. But she doesn't seem to care; and she will keep damaging the machines like this. Also wondering if anyone else has encountered her (spectacles wearing girl, username is all numbers or something like that)
first time posting smth in the maimai community👀
