People cutting the queue or ignoring queuing players

I have been experiencing many players old and new that always keep cutting other people's queue and they always give the I'm leaving after this game excuse. I think this needs to be made clear to any and everybody as it's not just the players themselves even parents of children would just cut in and get all defensive saying they've waited longer.

Anyone has any solution or a way to reduce these types of incidents?

How do you guys play 14 level?

I'm currently 13911 and started at 1/1/2026. I mostly target higher experts or SSS+ lower level songs. I would really appreciate it if someone is willing to give some suggestions to improve my skill.

Favorite song someone else has?

So I had played with someone today. Was a real helpful player too! Taught me tips on how to avoid "splashing"

This player also had a song that I tried playing the exp 8 of (can't remember the title sadly). Chart was really fun to execute and surprisingly, I was able to read and keep up! Though I forgot to ask him, but can I add this to fav list or will it even show in my record on the website at all if I don't have the song?

How long would it take for a beginner to play this song?

So I just got into maimai and really like this song. I'm wondering, for a complete beginner, how many months of playing would it take just to survive this at level 14+?

glove holes

so i got into playing maimai seriously about a month or two ago, and bought some touchscreen gloves. i lowkey did minimal research and just got whatever i thought looked cute. since then, ive worn a hole in them. i can only imagine this as an inevitability considering all the friction and whatnot. i don’t know if i got low quality gloves, or if this is run of the mill maimai stuff. all this to ask; how long does it usually take for yall to wear through your gloves. i’m playing maybe a few times a week?

TLDR- how long does it normally take for you to get a hole in your gloves

cpcm cabs locations (sg)

helo heloo. recently i found out the cpcm at bishan has replaced their maimai cabs with another gambling machine 💔💔💔💔. i go there cus its pretty quiet and near me. i do visit bugis vland and paco, just that it usually gets super crowded.

i usually head to the cpcm near my friend's house whenever i visit, but only issue is that it is an hour away. i recently topped up quite a lot of tokens just for maimai too, so i want to not waste them. i also go to 313 somerset cus its pretty near where i work but its still quite far from where i live regardless.

asking because the cabs at bishan were from sun plaza and the website for cab locations only show the cabs network name (? when you save scores to your album, it shows the cab network?? im not sure what its called). so it says its still in sun plaza.

just wondering if theres any cpcms that are confirmed to have maimai nearest to bishan? the only places i know to have maimai are jurong point, 313 and suntec. if there are none closer, i'll just have to make do with 313 😭. hopefully the cabs are not busted up like bugis paco.. i have beef with the cabs there.

thanks!

Finding Arcades in Japan? We got you covered!

https://musecat.app/en

Hi everyone!

I’ve been building Musecat, a community-driven arcade database focused on rhythm games.

One of the biggest goals of the project is solving the long-standing problem of fragmented and outdated arcade information.

What makes it different?

  • 🌏 Available in English, Japanese, and Korean, (Chinese TBA)
  • 🎵 Strong focus on rhythm game arcades
  • 📍 Reliable information across Asia, especially Korea and Japan
  • 📸 Users can upload arcade photos
  • 🎮 View what rhythm games are inside an arcade
  • 🔧 Share machine status in real time (broken cabinets, maintenance, offline machines, etc.)
  • ✏️ Community edits to keep information accurate

It was always been hard to find reliable arcade information.

For example, if you look only at Japanese arcades that have maimai:

  • Musecat: 931 arcades
  • ZIv: 277 arcades

The difference isn’t because we’re counting differently.
We’ve spent a lot of time collecting, verifying, and maintaining arcade data.

One of Musecat’s primary goals is improving the issues that many players have experienced with existing resources like ZIV:

  • fragmented information
  • outdated entries
  • missing arcades
  • difficult community maintenance

Rather than being just another arcade list, I want Musecat to become a living database that the community continuously updates.

Today, Musecat already has:

  • 2,000+ registered arcades
  • 15,000+ registered game machines
  • 9,500+ community edits
  • 80,000+ monthly page views

Most of our current traffic comes from Asia, where the community is already actively contributing.

The long-term goal is simple:

Provide the most reliable rhythm game arcade information anywhere in the world, not just in Asia.

If you travel for rhythm games or regularly hunt for arcades, I’d really appreciate any feedback or contributions!

Uhh… what’s the umiyuri pattern and why is it so infamous

Idk man, I’ve been hearing about it without looking into it too deeply and I thought I’d try the song to see if I can see what it is but… I don’t see any pattern that’s that hard so I couldn’t really put my finger on what the infamous pattern is

Does maimai bring back removed songs?

So i was getting introduced and listening to so many jp songs thanks to psjk like into the night. But into the night was deleted and wonder if maimai does bring back some removed songs. And I am not talking about into the night as there have been cases of removed songs in maimai

I want to get another song on SS/SSS, which difficulty is not that easy (but not too hard, so songs like tetoris and folern is what i don’t rlly want)
