Time to get Ahead! CP WIP
set up for painting heads in 2nd pic. Is it jank or will it work? I've never painted heads separately before.

I tried a slightly different style with the champion. He's a reverse color scheme. I used some underpainting and drybrushing for some gradient because the spot color on the other units was a contrast paint.
It's just a drybrush covered by contrast, but I'm so excited to see how he turns out!
Finished with the Hearthguard bodies. Only champion and 19 heads to go!
I've dabbled with some edges before but this was the first time I decided to hit every edge I could find. And just...how? How do people do this consistently, and efficiently? I about lost my mind. And some people do this with multiple colors!?
Hearthguard has way more details than I thought. Two questions. 1. Extend shoulder stripe onto top shoulder pad? 2. Does the different purple still tie in with my warrior and Thunderkyn?
Finished the bodies for the Thunderkyn. Not sure what's next for Combat Patrol with 11th around the corner. Bit of a bummer if the rules go away and I can't play. But I'm happy with painting and that's what drew me to the hobby in the first place.
Moving on to next unit. Changed paint order a bit to try and speed up. It's a WIP.
It's been slow going on the paint job, but I finished the suits. Now to add some heads and think about basing at some point.
Any advice from more experienced painters? I was thinking maybe a gloss on the shoulder and neck armor.
Trying to find the right balance between my primary secondary and tertiary colors. Just a basecoat so far. The brown is a mix of the purple and yellow but I'm not sure about it. Also, does it need more yellow? The metallics are doing a weird purple tint on camera that's not there. Is that a reflection?
Hello, I'm making the jump from AOS to the 40k side. I am painting up a patrol to try at my flgs' intro group. I just wanted to share my color test for some more experienced Kin (capitalize?) to see if it meets the vibe test so far.
