Why do i have to pay a high volume dispute fee?
I recently got deactivated, no big deal honestly as I quickly switched my payments and already contacted customer service (just waiting for their 2nd review). But the email I got day of deactivation explained that i was deactivated and I would be charged a "high volume dispute fee". I am *NOT* a seller. Any money I received has been from my parents.
its not a scam either as my paypal account has that annoying red text whenever i get on the app. But is this a deactivation mistake in general that can get appealed? or does everyone who get deactivated just have to pay a fee??
For more information, I made my paypal account a little around 2 months ago, as I had just recently got my first job. I live in the U.S. and Im over 18. I kinda knew nothing about paypal so I probably broke a few rules that I was unaware of, which is why the ban itself is not a big deal to me. When I called customer service, they said theyll review the ban and get back to me in a couple of days. (Does that mean its hopeless? lol)
If anyone can answer this itd help a lot! I just want to know about the dispute fee (this was previously deleted, so mightve been too much info or bad wording, sorry!)
