Helsinki Metro / Finland Curling

Hi Curling gang,

Trying through here since I am a bit stuck on the ground, but I am looking for a connection or advice on how to go about joining a league/team/club in the Helsinki metro area.

We just recently moved here in summer and would like to continue curling, but it seems the structure is very different from how it is in North America so we have been having little luck finding a club.

If anybody is from the area or has contacts, I would love if you could share (gladly via Chat/DM) so that I can follow up and get in touch with folks, hopefully before the season starts.

Thanks, good curling.

Struggling with new sink strainer & tailpiece.

I have purchased a Moen sink strainer to replace the old one (all the plating came off) and it went in easily and doesn't leak, but when trying to connect a tailpiece now (used the old one first), there is a slight leak when using hot water. My old tailpiece has most likely somewhat stripped threads since when I tighten it, at some point it pops loose and I need to retighten it.

I have gone and gotten a new tailpiece kit from the hardware store (plastic), but somehow the strainer has a way too short of a thread for that piece (tailpiece is very loose). Is this a common thing and I should get a specific Moen tailpiece to go with the strainer/drain or do I need a tailpiece with shorter threads?

Using the brass nut that came with the Moen strainer also doesn't really seal it properly neither with a rubber washer nor the plastic one that came with it+ plastic tailpiece. Always a slight leak.

So far what worked best was the old tailpiece with the worn out threads with generous teflon tape.

Any other tricks or wisdom in installing this that I am missing? My next step will be to get silicone tape and just cover up this bullshit hoping that it'll be enough to keep the very light leak contained.
