If you saw my last post. you saw me crying about Ibis paint.
since then, I have purchased both procreate and infinite painter. But I still really like Ibis paint
my only issue with Ibis paint is the custom background color option. I'm talking about the void around the drawing canvas. the default is a light grey. I make it close to black so my eyes don't burn.
light grey hurts my eyes. and with the already white canvas.. it hurts
this is an accessibility issue.
go to my profile to see an image comparison of the ibis paint bkgrs
why should I have to pay premium when the only premium tool I use is to change the background color
allow custom colors for premium. have a dark color and light grey in the free version.
I bought add removal. I have purchased premium for a few months before
I have also pirated
its not fair
I want help to protest this. I want dark mode
its genuinely not fair
how can I make ibis paint hear me?
I'm selecting chronic illness cause I am very light sensitive
why should I have to pay for ONLY THIS ON3 THING
CONCLUSION AT END OF POST
I’m starting to get pissed off by ibis paint
I like this app I really do. I’ve been using it for years but it’s really pissing me off now.
I’ve been pirating it for a few good months now too.
But only to use the void custom color feature cause the default light grey hurts
I don’t wanna move to procreate,, i do not mind paying one time for an app I bought ToonSquid and Pixquare.
I hate subscription. I have csp ex ver 2 but stopped when i got my iPad and started using ibis… also buying the new versions is so stupid
Adobe fresco is cool but it doesn’t have a lot of tools.. but like I don’t really use many tools besides a few filters.
I have all my ipv files and ibis backup setting saved. So i have all my art. Also the fact the pic files can easily be opened in photoshop is a godsend. But like. Ughhh I don’t know wha i should do.
I used to draw on Photoshop when I was in high school and then I switched to clip studio which was a huge change for me and then in my second last year of undergrad I started using Ibis paint
I got a free trial of legit ibis paint premium, it will then buy a year subscription after 3 months. I have bought it before but.. god let me just buy it one time i hate subscription.
I don’t know what to do. I like the few brushes i made but obv there are better vers of em as Abrs
Any suggestions????
I just wanna draw man
I hate tried procreate.. pirate.. didn’t like it.. money isn’t an issue i can pirate but I don’t mind paying one time. I have tried a lot of stuff but graaahsdhfkjshdgkaj. I wish i can get the ibis paint source code and just. Fix it
I’ve made a mini web ver of ibis but making it from scratch is hard. The brush engine doesn’t work too great. Making brushes and the like are difficult .
There are open source drawing apps like Krita but I want smth that i can use on a tablet/ipad
EDIT::: also the time lapse feature in Ibis paint is amazing like you could pause at a time and recover the canvas from that. of time it is incredible.
there's a lot of things that I love about Ibis paint. but there's a lot of small stuff that absolutely piss me off I truly believe it could be such an easy fix.
adding dark mode should be an accessibility feature and not a paid feature if that thing was just on the free version I think I would ignore my other problems. like I paid for ad removal
EDIT::: I don't like iOS and I don't want to be reliant on its operating system. the reason I use this iPad is because I did not pay for it. it was given to us by a company for education reasons.
I don't want procreate because I'm a petty hater and I don't want my main drawing software to be available only on iOS.
I want to get an Android tablet but I currently have two iOS apps that are only available on iOS that are tying me this iPad. and when I think about getting an Android tablet those two apps make me not want to do that which is already horrible. and the thing is I don't even use those apps all too often
CONCLUSION
I downloaded Infinite painter and it seems amazing. im ready to pay the one time purchase. However.. it cant import large PSD files and it seems it been having this issue for a long time.. Maybe i should just buy procreate aswell. I can own many apps at the same time.. I love ibis paint. I can survive without the premium, i do have ad removal Fresco cant edit some PSD layers for some reason.. they stay locked? they will never be a ,, perfect drawing app that ill be satisfied with... unless i suck it up and . die trying to make one. I did put in a refund for my year sub of ibis, i had it for like a few days. if i dont get it i dont care ill buy both infinite painter and... procreate Procreate does have interesting features like the 3d painting
I realized one thing i found important, is that i should be able to open and edit my art file in any software Ibis paint and CSP work great,,, im sure ill be able to open those PSD files on procreate adobe fresco is weird, i cant put my large PSD files from ibis into it, some layers will be locked. infinite painter cant open large PSD files and seem unreliable in importing.. i guess.. ill have to stick with an apple device for drawing and art related stuff..
I used my laptop to install Ibis paint on my iPad
I use that weekly to refresh

I got a PC, so my laptop is usually in my bag now
I have sideloadly on my PC. I can't see the refresh ibis option. I instal the same IPA
a separate ibis paint is now on my ipad

I'm using the same apple id

also for any and all other apps I try to install from my PC, I get an error saying I've reached max
the only IPA on my iPad is Ibis

I made this tool for myself a while ago because I got tired of swiping through my refs panel in my drawing app. Manually dropping images to create a ref page was taking too long. I tested collage apps for 30 minutes but then realized I'd save more time just making one myself.
The main point is simple: upload a ton of photos and they all fit together in a grid automatically. No adjusting placement, no trimming or resizing the canvas. It handles that for you, so you can just drop your images and export the page immediately.
Heyhey. I made this tool for myself a while ago to quickly put many images together for reference. I got tired of swiping through my refs panel in my drawing app and manually dropping images to create a ref page was taking too long. I tested collage apps for 30 mins but then realized I would save more time just making one myself.
I don't want to monetize this, at least not right now. I just want to gain experience managing a project myself without a team. Thinking about open sourcing it but not sure yet.
Id appreciate any tips to help gain traffic. I'm not a marketing person or actively post on social media. I just wanna make stuff.
I made this with vanilla java script, lol I love vanilla JavaScript. I've been working on some extra features in python.
I originally made this in Java as a standalone software, but since I draw on my iPad, I had it translated to JS and took it from there.
Anyways, any feedback and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
why are ppl freaking out that they won't be able to go to theatres. that it's not in their country.
so what. you have been watching this stuff for free. Did you pay on a Kickstarter that promised early access for the final ep? Are you owed this?
you will watch the movie 2 weeks later for free. just block tags and avoid spoilers best you can. this stuff happens. avoid social media for a bit if u don't want any risk.
