Midi hardware inconsistencies

Hey Koala Bears,

Has anyone experienced inconsistent behavior when using midi hardware when playing with FX and other things such as volume, pitch, pan?

I will turn a knob and sometimes the FX will not move at all, and I have to drastically adjust the fader or encoder for it make any change.

When I am using cubase or any other real daw, the encoders stay consistent and move when I turn them.

Koala, time and time again, has inconsistent behavior with the midi controllers. I want to use koala like a real music production software, but it seems the only real way to do so without hiccups, is staying touch only.

Using touch, it’s great. No issues. Connect a midi controller, and bam, turning knobs and nothing happens, til it does. Then it doesn’t again, til it does.

Am I alone? I’ve tried multiple devices. Arturia minilab, keylab, m-audio oxygen pro mini, synido tempopad c16, mvave smc something.

Has anyone played with hardware since the update? I remember going through mapping all the midi only to find each sample point, volume level, etc thrown way off when I’d switch to a new sample and try to adjust.

I was hoping that the midi would just start adjusting from where it currently resides, assuming it’s an endless encoder being turned. But I have a feeling it will have to be turned until it reaches the current position before it starts being adjusted?

I’d be stoked if it starts adjusting as soon as you switch to a new sample and start twisting.

So I recently had my valve cover gaskets replaced. The alarm chirped when I unlocked the vehicle for the work to be done. At the end of the day, when I locked it up, it was silent. The fuse in the trunk is good and the lights flash when arming and disarming. I pounded on the hood and the lights flash.

Did this guy steal my siren?

I accompanied him about half way through and at the end there was a bracket that seemed to not belong anywhere on the engine. Can anybody verify that this is the siren bracket?
