Sean Master Tip
Just sharing what worked for me going through the master boss rush arena.
You can pretty much just interrupt sean with a backfist for both his phases. Phase 1 is actually the harder of the 2.
Phase 1: after doing chasing slap, i NEED TO WAIT until he has mostly recovered (once his head is basically back up straight) to press the button to charge my backfist and release as quick as possible. The timing is tight, it’s more of a half charged backfist. If you start charging the backfist too early before he has recovered he will dodge it 100% of the time in phase 1.
Phase 2: the release of the backfist button is the same as phase 1 — once he has recovered from the slaps and his head is back up straight. However, here you can start charging the backfist right after the slaps, so it is easier to manage than phase 1.
Jinfeng Master Tip
Just posting what has worked for me working my way through the master boss rush arena.
For Jinfeng the goal is really to get around at least 30% damage on her so her structure won’t refill very fast, and then just parry her straight bag tosses from about 2 dodge steps away from her.
Keeping that 2 dodge step spacing from her is the key. At this distance she really only has like 2 combo strings that can be easily parried or dodged (practice in training room if you don’t know them) And you can actually just run up and slap her after her combo. Use your focus, get the damage in, then back away 2 dodge steps again and just repeat the parrying dodging.
Yang Master Phase 1 Tip
What’s working for me as I do the master arena boss rush.
Yang phase 1 is rough. However, once you get an opening, you can basically get him into a loop.
To get an opening, I usually just do an elbow or wait and up-avoid his running slide kick.
From there the loop is push, chasing slaps, charged backfist, 2 down-avoids… repeat.
The key here is you actually want to throw the charged back fist as fast as possible after the chasing slaps. He will nearly always dodge a fast thrown backfist, which is what you want! 100% of the time when he dodges it, he will do a 2 hit combo back at you. THERE IS A DELAY BEFORE HE STARTS THE COMBO. But since you know it is coming, it is easy to spot when he is starting it, so do 2 rapid down-avoids as soon as he starts the combo. Then push again…
Fajar Master Tip
Working through the master mode boss rush arena and thought I’d toss out a few vids for things that worked for me.
You can pretty much just elbow, push, chasing trip Fajar on repeat, for both his phases.
The key for me to get this to work was after punching him on the ground, TAKE 1 or 2 DODGE STEPS AWAY from him before turning around to wait for the elbow. Then just hit the elbow as he starts his attack.
Risky parry is so much fun! I actually look forward to being surrounded by enemies now.
I was hesitant to leave my Merc throwing-build to try it, but now I can’t imagine life without risky parry. Build is at the end of video in case you want to give it a try yourself.
