I’m about three and half hours into playing Sifu. First of all, what an incredibly fun game. I also absolutely love the art style and just the general atmosphere of the world you’re in. But I’ve got a question….

Are people on the internet that say they made it through The Squats at age 22 on their first run being serious? I’m only asking because I’m trying to understand if I’m truly the worst Sifu player there has ever been. My first run I completely lost the game before making it to The Botanist. I’m now capable of making it to the boss around age 30 but haven’t beaten him in three tries now. In fact I don’t even get close, not even through phase one.

I’ve watched some beginners guide videos and I have a decent understanding of what I should be trying to do but I’m still not all that great. I assume I just gotta keep playing and I’ll get the hang of it.

Does anyone have any tips for me on what helped them out in the beginning? How in the world am I supposed to be able to react fast enough to the sweep kick The Botanist does that is ending me so quickly?

Edit: I’m on the hardest difficulty by the way.

Edit: I lowered difficulty to disciple and I beat the squats first try! So much easier but also I still have a lot of room to improve because I made it at age 35.

Had the game for years stop playing after Sean beat me and I had to go through it all over again , just recently picked it back up (I’m on Nintendo Switch) Im not rusty anymore(due to cans of whoop ass being unleashed unto me) I’ve learned the recipe to get me to Sean but I always die before I get to him I’m 20, in my head If I can get to him without dying at 20 I can beat him both phases by 24 that’s the max age I’m willing to leave this hideout on not a year more I’m venting than more so seeking help I’ve beat Sean last night twice but I was 30 and once I was 60 lol I’ve beat him this morning I was 40 like cmon I know I can take this guy and leave in my early 20s!! 😫😫 it’s driving me mad I tell ya maaaad!!!

I kind of wanted to walk menacingly like yang. But yin usually walks when the enemy is near him. I kind of want it to be a permanent option. I don't like his jog or run that much.

It may sound a useless bickering but i have played long enough so i just want to tweak this game to my preferences is there a way to walk with yin in sifu on KEYBOARD. NOT CONTROLLER

I get Fajar into his second phase and I’m waiting for him to pounce. But the dude doesn’t appear. And then you go around the area and find him behind the borders of the area just standing still. Like, he’s not doing anything. Had to restart my perfect no-death run of The Squats because of this.

So I barely managed to defeat The Museum boss lady (screw her) rapidly aging from age 35 straight to 71 during my attempts. So now I am back as old man of 71 yo to my hideout.

Does that mean that I will die after one defeat? Am I screwed? Is there any way to retry or revert my age?

I think this ruins my playthrough?
