So, if you get VTuber tweets in Spanish you might have seen the entire thing about Meica05 announcing she has a boyfriend and her simps getting mad about it and so on. The weird thing is...Meica has never been the kind of VTuber that cultivates that kind of very parasocial fanbase, and has done collabs with male streamers without issue, and it was already obvious she had a boyfriend if you were in her community.

One of her, well, now former fans has a different story. Per their version, Meica, like a lot of Spanish VTubers, realized that the Spanish VTuber market just doesn't get the amounts of money that the EN and JP markets get, and instead of being honest about it, she just...made a new JP-exclusive VTuber identity. And didn't told anybody. And started to go all in on investing on that identity instead of Meica. And, when called on it, she went with the "they are harassing me for having a boyfriend" and crucified one of her fans for it.

So, yes, she can do this and she doesn't owe them and explanation, but said donors don't have to stick around after she just lied to them and was planning to ditch them. It is what it is.

On the interest of being fair, after several days of being the community's punching bag, Meica responded and dropped her own 64 pages Google Doc in response:
