Choosing a laser cutter advice please
I was wondering if I could ask some advice please? I have started a small wooden business that makes wooden wall decor/ hooks and small wooden gifts. I have been using my cricut to create stencils for painting, but now I can see that it isn't achieving the level of detail and dimension I am looking for in my pieces.
I would love to be able to cut pieces of wood ~1cm ( less and more in different case) and would like to have a reasonably large cutting bed so that I can eventually branch out to larger signs like wedding signs ( I had been looking around 500x300 roughly). I would love to have the option to engrave on the wood with significantly more detail than I am achieving with my cricut, to add some personalised touches to some of the pieces.
I am attending quite a few craft fairs so I have been batch making items so would need something that can make slightly increased volume of products/ cuts/ engravings, but not the same high pace a medium business or factory would be putting out. With some personalised orders also. I would love to have to scope to increase this output eventually.
It might also be worth mentioning ( also probably very obvious as well), but I have no previous laser experience, but am very eager to learn.
Is there anything else I would need to be thinking about? Any advice, do's don'ts, words of wisdom? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
