General MONAD Discussion

since weekly discussion posts don't seem to be a thing anymore; I want to know what your thoughts on MONAD are lately, and what you've been doing with your MON.

I have a very strong feeling about MON's relatively near and long-term performance and have been aggressively building my bag. I'm staking natively and also have a bit liquid staked and looped, with a bit in pools too.

Basically just trying to accumulate as much as I can while we're still in winter. MON price seems to be building up momentum the last couple days; i think the chain really wants to spring and I'm excited for what the future will bring!

Recommend any dapps or games? Any strategies you'd want to share?

Let's talk Mon!

Translucent Rainbow Setup

Spent a couple days tweaking my setup to look like how i want. I'm pretty happy with the results! I've been a fan of translucent Windows themes ever since Microsoft first started dabbling with the Aero style. Never really had a system that could actually handle it.

Unfortunately, CPU sits higher than I'd prefer, but a good chunk of it comes from my media player, Namida. Without Namida running, it hovers right around 15% - which is still a bit high, but it doesn't impact my performance or anything i do so i'm okay with it for now.

Everything is done via Windhawk, although I also have MicaForEveryone and MicaExplorer running. The colored window borders interpolate between various colors and transparency effects are persistent when explorer windows are unfocused.

Pretty fond of the setup. Thoughts?

I fell for my first scam coin!

So i typically have only ever invested in legitimate coins; BTC, Eth, Algo, Mon, etc. Never really took to the gambling side of things with meme/shit coins. I had some extra "play around with" monies and decided to gamble on a random meme coin that was freshly listed. Only threw $60 into it, but watched as my investment increased up to $400 over about an hour. With how quickly it grew, i figured it was too good to be true.. and it was.

Couldn't sell, couldn't trade, couldn't send.

$60 down the drain, but i learned a valuable lesson.

Don't invest in meme coins, but if i do - make sure i can sell it first.

For those experiencing issues with Coinbase transactions...

The Amazon Web Services that Coinbase (and a massive chunk of web infrastructure) relies on is currently experiencing interruptions in regions of the east coast due to overheating in a single data center. The interruption began around 8pm EST and is still ongoing as of 11:30pm EST. Amazon is currently working on fixing the issue, but could take a couple more hours.

You can keep track of updates and the status of the interrupted services here:
