Would you use a digital version that lives on your desktop?

I'm building a tool that turns the classic bullet journal habit tracker into an interactive desktop wallpaper for Windows.

Instead of drawing a vine tracker by hand each month, it lives on your screen. You click a day and a leaf appears. It tracks your habits automatically and keeps your history forever.

Would you use something like this? Or do you prefer the paper version and why?

Finally, it works🎉🎉

At 2am o'clock 18/08/2026 after 4 hours of excruciating pain finally did it, my caelestia CachyOS desktop works, this is my third time trying Linux, my first was endevor OS and it was pretty easy but it was giving me problems with the kernels, my second time was CachyOS with KDE and it was the best and easiest I have ever tried, then unfortunately I saw caelestia on YouTube and I fall in love with it and not even an hour after I saw it I started installing, I'm now trying to understand how is json and trying to customise the desktop.

That Hyprland wallpaper selector in Windows using YASB's transition

A little something I tried for these 2 days.
The design is inspired by Hyprquickpaper which is inspired from Serpantinum and the transition code is from YASB

I found that YASB can do this circular transition thing when changing wallpaper so I tried to use their transition code but use hyperquickpaper like ui

I was heavily disappointed when I found out that windows doesn't allow you to customize anything about wallpaper transition (the wallpapers must change like a crossfade).
So this, as you probably noticed in the video, of course is just a fake transition animation happening over the regular transition to hide it (as far as I understand)
It's not perfect but it kind of looks cool and I can spare 100mb of ram usage.

And along with that I just wanted to build a wallpaper recommendation like system which will keep track of my google searches, youtube urls and reddit urls and then ask gemini to give me the relevant topics which I will search on wallhaven and then it gives me a catalog of wallpapers to choose from according to my time spent on each topic etc etc. (The data is stored locally but sent to gemini in a group to get the relevant context about them, google already has all of this data so I'm not really giving them anything extra - i hope)

And as you probably expected its all vibecoded but not just that but in the worst way possible (no agentic coding just putting the relevant files in chat in gemini chatgpt and claude and then pasting the code in editor)
>!(I got the free gemini pro subscription so with their high context limit and claude;s and chatgpt's tooling it was kind of working but it sucked and I don't really know how much better models I can get for free in agent so idk - there are those ways like Omniroute and such but I haven't tried them yet)!<

Edit: I have no idea why and how but after keeping it on for some time the normal 100mB of ram usage went down to 70mB for some reason and it stayed there as long as I observed.
And now after some more time the current background usage is like < 16mB which goes up to about 43mB and then goes back to 18mB. I am really confused now
