I made a free Minecraft mod where Claude builds whatever you describe

I made a Minecraft mod for Claude Code and it's free

You press K in game and tell it what you want like a medieval castle with a moat and Claude builds it in your world while you keep playing. Don't like it and one click undoes everything

I built it myself and used Claude Code a lot along the way for the code the tests and the debugging. I decided what to build and tested it in the game

Under the hood the mod launches your own Claude Code on your PC and it builds by calling 20 tools that run inside Minecraft. Nothing goes through a server of mine

To try it you need a Claude Pro or Max sub with Claude Code installed plus Minecraft Java 26.3 and Java 25. The mod itself is free with no account. Grab the jar at https://www.craftai.world/ and drop it in your mods folder (works with Fabric or Forge or NeoForge) and the guide there has the steps

It's a beta. Biggest build I timed was a 34k block castle in around 15 minutes

Would love to know what you'd ask it to build !

I created a Mac app that opens your MacBook notch: push the cursor against it and your music, messages and clipboard are right there

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer from France, and this is Tack+, the app I've been building for macOS.

The idea is simple: the notch is the one part of the screen that does nothing. So I made it open. Push your cursor against the top edge (or press ⌥ Space) and a small panel drops out of the notch. Move away and it folds back.

What's in it:

- **Music**: Spotify or Apple Music controls. When the panel is closed, the album art and an equalizer sit on either side of the notch.

- **Messages or WhatsApp**: recent conversations, and you can reply to iMessages without switching apps.

- **Clipboard history**: text and links, searchable, kept in a local file and never synced.

- **Stash**: drag a file to the edge of the screen and it stays within reach.

- **One search** across the clipboard, stashed files, today's calendar and recent conversations.

- **Focus timer** that keeps counting down next to the notch.

- **8 widgets** (weather, system monitor, GitHub, to-do, world clocks…) that you arrange like a phone home screen.

- **Face Lock** (optional): the camera recognises you and unlocks the panel. It's a convenience, not a security feature. Your password or Touch ID always works.

It also works at the bottom edge, and on Macs without a notch.

The things you'd want to know before clicking:

- It's a paid app: one-time purchase, no subscription. 15 € instead of 20 € until October 10, with a 14-day refund.

- It requires macOS 14 or later and an account.

- Reading Messages needs Full Disk Access. That's a macOS requirement and it stays on your Mac.

- Available in English, French, Spanish, German, Chinese and Japanese.

Site: https://tackplus.app

I'd really like your honest feedback, on the app and on the video. What would you want in the notch that isn't there yet?

What if the edge of your Mac screen were the best place for your everyday tools?

I kept breaking focus to open the same things throughout the day: music, Messages, Calendar, my clipboard history, and files. I wanted them close by without keeping a bunch of windows open, so I made Tack+.

Tack+ lives at the edge of your screen. Move to it, and a panel opens with your everyday Mac tools ready to use. You can place it at the top, around the notch on supported MacBooks, or at the bottom. It also lets you choose which modules appear, so the panel can fit your setup.

I’ve tried to keep it feeling like a natural part of macOS: quick to open, out of the way when you’re done, and easy to shape around the things you use most. It requires macOS 14 or later.

There’s a short demo and download at https://tackplus.app/.

I’d love feedback from people who use their Mac all day: what would you want one gesture away?

Your $200 Codex plan isn’t shrinking, your context is eating it. Astra benchmarks inside

Seeing a lot of "Pro doesn't last anymore / Astra eats everything" posts.

Before blaming the plan, look at what each turn actually sends.

Every question to Codex ships a big chunk of input context along with it, and

input is where most of your allowance goes. There's a public benchmark that

measured exactly this: same questions, sent to the Codex CLI once as-is and

once with the context trimmed to what the task needs.

GPT-6 Astra (20 real runs, effort medium both sides, none thrown out):

- weighted input per run: ~102k → ~61k tokens (×1.69, 90% interval ×1.42–×2.04)

- raw input: −63%

- output: −75%

Other Codex models, same method (120 runs):

- gpt-5.5: ~236k → ~41k (×5.81)

- gpt-5.4: ×3.86 · gpt-5.4-mini: ×3.49

- gpt-5.6 sol / luna / terra: ×2.26 / ×2.36 / ×2.16

What makes it credible to me is that the losses are published too: these are

short one-line questions (the gain shrinks on long detailed prompts), and on

one Astra task the trimmed version actually used ~17% MORE input. It's left in

the table.

So if your allowance vanishes by midweek, context is the first thing to look

at. The full table with every row is here: capsul.chat

I built something to stop burning through my claude tokens so fast

so basically i kept running out of my claude and codex quota way before the end of the day. Like i'd be in the middle of something at 3pm and it just stops and tells me to come back at 2am.

and there's nothing you can really do about that except pay for a bigger plan
or go do something else.

so me and a friend built a cli called capsul. Its in front of claude code or codex and cuts down what actually gets sent each time. So you get a lot more out of the same plan you already pay for.

We benchmarked it properly against claude -p. same questions same models same repo.

9 claude models 180 runs and the median came out at 58% less input sent.

best was opus 4.8 at 80% less, worst was opus 4.7 at 32%. and honestly on 4.7 the numbers are shaky enough that i wouldn't bother. Codex was 54 to 83% across 6 models.

One thing i should say is 3 of the 9 models come out slightly less accurate going through it. haiku actually comes out better. we put that on the site model by model instead of burying it in an average.

10 free prompts then 5.99 a month.

npm i -g @penra/capsul

I'd love to have your feedback !

I created a simple way for entrepreneurs to get their startup seen

For the last few months I kept running into the same wall as a founder: every way to get your startup in front of people either drains you with monthly ad spend that stops the second you stop paying, or drops you as listing #4,000 in a directory nobody actually scrolls through.

So I built the opposite of that. It’s called WallOfStartup, one single, permanent wall of pixels that startups own.

Here’s how it works:

  • You drag out a block on the wall and pay €1 per pixel, once. That’s it. No subscription, no renewal, no “your listing expires in 30 days.”
  • You just paste your URL a crawler automatically reads your logo, name and tagline, so there’s no clunky upload form.
  • Your logo goes up on a public, browsable wall with a clickable link straight back to your site, and it stays there for good.

The idea is simple: instead of renting attention, you get a permanent, visual spot that keeps sending you clicks long after you’ve forgotten you bought it.

A few things I added that people seem to like:

  • Every startup gets its own share page and an embeddable “Featured on” badge for their own site.
  • There’s a leaderboard ranking startups by how many pixels they hold.
  • A live time-lapse of the wall filling up, block by block.
  • The whole thing is black & white, a “wooden pixel board” look I wanted it to feel like a real object on a wall, not another SaaS dashboard.

I built this mostly because I wanted it to exist for my own projects, and figured other founders feel the same frustration with ads and directories.

Happy to answer anything about the build or the reasoning behind it.

I built a native macOS app for live wallpapers, custom folder icons, and desktop widgets — and it’s been a wild ride

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo dev from France, and about a year ago I started working on MAC+  a native macOS app that does three things:

  1. Animated wallpapers 15 GPU-rendered scenes (mist, aurora, lava, rain, snow, plasma…), rendered in Metal so it barely sips battery. You can also use your own video or image as a live wallpaper.
  2. Custom folder icons 52 patterns mapped onto the real macOS folder shape. Pick one, pick your folders, done. You can also import your own image.
  3. Desktop widgets 12 widgets (clock, date, Focus mode, timer, season, weekend countdown…), in 3 sizes and 4 shapes, placed anywhere on your screen.

Plus 44 color palettes (or create your own), multi-display support, adjustable 30/60/120 FPS, auto-pause in fullscreen and zero tracking. Everything runs locally on your machine.

I started this as a personal project because I wanted a live wallpaper that didn’t drain my MacBook or send data somewhere. After a year of nights and weekends, I just hit my first paid users, and it still feels surreal.

Free to download, Pro at €1.99/month or €9.99 lifetime. No account required to try it.

If you’ve got a Mac and want to make your desktop feel less like a spreadsheet and more like your space: macplus.pro

Happy to answer any questions about the tech (Vite, Supabase, Metal rendering, the solo-dev journey), the app, or anything else.

Cheers,
Adrien

Added desktop widgets to Mac+: 12 little modules, 3 sizes, 4 shapes. Looking for honest feedback.

Solo dev here. I've been building Mac+ (live wallpapers, custom folder icons, and widgets for macOS), and the widgets are my favorite part, so I wanted to share.

There are 12 right now: clock, date, a focus/pomodoro timer, a stopwatch, week number, year progress, a weekend countdown, a season badge, uptime, and a few more. Each comes in 3 sizes and 4 shapes, and they sit right on your desktop with a hand-drawn, paper-style look instead of the flat system style.

I know macOS added native desktop widgets, so I tried to make these more playful and match the whole desktop theme (wallpaper, folder icons, and widgets as one consistent look), while keeping them light (GPU-rendered, they pause when covered).

Two things I'd love your take on:

  1. Which desktop widgets do you actually keep long-term?
  2. What's a widget you wish existed?

Free to try if you're curious, no account needed: macplus.pro. Mostly here for the ideas though.

Unlock Your Productivity Potential with Dynamic Widgets and Beautiful Backdrops

I've been a software developer for over a decade, and I still remember the countless hours I spent stuck in front of my Mac's default desktop. As an artist, I struggled to find inspiration in the same old static backgrounds. That was until I discovered the joy of customizing my workspace.

As I delved deeper into the world of macOS customization, I realized that I wasn't alone in my struggles. Many developers and designers face similar challenges, boredom with a static desktop, difficulty finding inspiration for design work, and the need for increased productivity and focus.

That's why I built MacPlus, an innovative tool that brings interactive elements to your Mac experience. With our platform, you can create customizable palettes with 44+ options, choose from 15+ animated backgrounds, and add widgets to enhance organization and focus.

Enhancing Productivity on Your Mac with a Personal Touch

I'll never forget the day I upgraded to a new Mac. It was love at first sight, but then I realized it was just sitting there staring back at me - a blank canvas waiting for some personality. As someone who's passionate about making the most out of my tech, I knew I had to give it some flair. That's when I started experimenting with different wallpapers, icon sets, and widgets to create a space that reflected my style. But, let's be real, even the best-looking desk can't boost productivity if you're not inspired by what's around you.

I built Mac+ : a lightweight native app that brings your Mac desktop to life (animated wallpapers, folder icons, widgets).

Hey everyone 👋

I'm the solo developer behind Mac+ (macplus.pro). Up front: this is my own app, and I'd really like your honest feedback.

The itch I was scratching: I was tired of staring at the same frozen wallpaper all day. The macOS desktop feels kind of… static. So I built the thing I actually wanted a native, lightweight app that makes the desktop feel alive withoutturning my Mac into a space heater.

What it does:

  • 15 animated scenes rendered on the GPU with Metal (aurora, plasma, waves, rain, snow, fog…)
  • 44 color palettes + a custom palette creator recolor any scene live
  • Use your own video or image as a living background
  • 52 folder-icon patterns stamped onto the real macOS folder shape or import your own image, and apply it to many folders at once
  • 12 desktop widgets (clock, date, focus timer, season, year progress…) you can drag anywhere
  • Little companions that wander across your screen
  • Multi-display, and it now speaks 4 languages (EN / FR / DE / ES)

Why it won't wreck your Mac:

  • 100% GPU rendering (no CPU video decoding), 30 FPS by default, capped resolution
  • Auto-pauses when the screen sleeps or when a fullscreen app covers the desktop
  • Driven entirely from a tiny menu-bar item

Honest about pricing: there's a free tier (a handful of scenes, palettes, icons and widgets) so you can try it for real before paying. Pro unlocks everything 7-day free trial, then €1.99/month, or €9.99 once (lifetime, no subscription).

Here is a promo code : « LAUNCH30 » :)

I built GeoGuessr but for YouTube, you guess the view count of real trending videos

You know GeoGuessr? I built the same idea, but for YouTube views.

It shows you a real trending YouTube video, with the thumbnail, title, channel and subscriber count, but the view count is hidden. You drag a slider from 1K to 1B to guess how many views it has. The closer you are, the more points you score.

There are four modes: a daily challenge (same 5 videos for everyone, one shot per day), solo to beat your own record, an endless "higher or lower" streak, and real time multiplayer where you share a 6 letter room code and battle friends on the same videos (up to 10 players).

No signup, no download. You click and play. Videos pull live from YouTube trending across 10 countries. It's free: ViewGuessr
Built it solo.

Would love feedback on the core
loop. Is it addictive or does it get old fast? What would make you come back daily?
