I know there are quite a few software developers here in r/BEFIRE. After working as a software developer for seven years, I switched to a more analyst-focused role.

I was planning to move back into software development in the coming months, but based on what I see on social media and LinkedIn, the job seems to have changed a lot recently.

Are developers still mostly writing code themselves, or is using AI now becoming the standard?
