Preparing early for NTPC JAA

Hello everyone,❤️

I’m from Kolkata, West Bengal. I’m 21 years old and currently in my 2nd year, pursuing a BA in English Honours from NSOU through distance mode. I chose distance learning because of some personal issues during college admission time.

My university exams are at the end of December. But my main focus right now is the Railway NTPC exam.

I’m planning to appear for NTPC after my graduation, which will be around mid-2028. That’s why I’ve started my preparation now. The reason is, I’m extremely weak in Maths. My basics are almost zero. I’ve also never studied Reasoning or Science before. So it’s going to take me a lot of time to learn everything and complete the syllabus.

I also need help with how to manage my college studies. I just want to pass and get my graduation degree. My main priority is NTPC.

Do you think starting now is the right decision for me, since I have to learn everything from scratch?

Right now I’m studying only from YouTube. After graduation, I plan to join Adda247’s Bande Bharat course to strengthen my preparation and adjust according to the latest exam pattern and weightage.

I’ve watched a lot of strategy videos on YouTube where teachers suggest different ways to clear each subject. But the method that works best for me is this:

For example, if I’m studying Biology, I first watch a video by Neeraj Sir, make notes simultaneously, then revise those notes, and finally solve PYQs on that topic.

Is this a good approach for me?

Cracking this exam is really important for me. My goal post is JAA - Junior Accounts Assistant.
