Do I still need to hold my permit for 6 months if I turn 18 during that period in Texas?
Hello, I live in Texas and I’m turning 18 in December. I’m taking my exam to receive my permit soon (during October).
I was talking to a friend and they said I would still have to wait 6 months to receive my real driver’s license even if I turn 18 during that period of “parent supervised driving.” I just wanted to know if this is true.
If I do still have to wait, would I just have to take an adult driver’s ed course so that I could be able to receive my permit in December?
