First Europe trip - 5 days in Rome. Advice welcome!

Hello everyone!

My wife and I are taking our first trip to Europe this October and are spending 5 days in Rome over our anniversary.

I’ve honestly been getting pretty overwhelmed with the sheer volume of things to do here and was hoping to get some advice on where to focus our energy being first timers.

We both love history which is why we chose Rome, and are big foodies too.

I know it’s pretty open ended, but if you were traveling back to Rome for the first time, what would you do?

Also, what’s the best way to travel around the city? I’ve seen some conflicting info about the simplest way. Is the Tap & Go something we should get signed up for?
We’re staying in a hotel about 1km north of the colosseum.

Been missing out on the drops for months and finally found one locally for just over msrp. Crazy world we live in, big props to the guy who sold it to me way below current scalping prices.

The kicker of this story is I couldn’t even get a drop. Signed up for all sorts of apps and stuff to try and get a MSRP card and could never get one in time. Got lucky to find a guy locally who sold it to me for $1,100 because he was sticking with AMD&Linux. Major props to him for not scalping it on eBay or something. People are eagerly paying $1,400+.

I was actually using the 45” LG Ultragear 1440p OLED from a few years ago.

This BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER. Extremely pleased. If you’re debating on it, go for it. It’s worth it.
