Seemed like a good deal
This has been sitting at my Walmart for over a month. They marked it down again so finally decided to grab it. Seemed like a good deal.

Recently I started getting black screens and GPU fans going to 100% at random, idle or gaming doesn’t matter they just happen.
Today turned PC on and was greeted with this rude welcome.
Should I be looking at PSU or GPU?
Load balance has been near perfect and no sign of burns or anything like that and using a Corsair RM1000X PSU with Corsair 12V2X6 cable.
Do i get the amp extreme or solid oc (purely to match white them) evwn tho amp is free delivery and cheaper so total savings about £20 roughly
Kind of feels like a dream come true😅 I also got the ROG strix 4k oled that I still need to set up😭 also do I have to get a gpu support bracket? Let me know! Thanks 😊
This is with +400 core / +1000 mem
My stock scores are around 8200
I have DDU'd driver multiple times and tried lots of stuff. Scores just seem to be low.
Anyone got ideas?
Hey everyone! Finally finished my build and wanted to share it with you 🤩
It's mainly for VR sim racing. Specs:
Ultra 7 265K
64GB DDR5 6400 CL32
1TB M.2
Gigabyte Z890 Eagle
Gigabyte 5080 Windforce OC SFF
Overclock:
Ultra 7 = P-core 5.5, E-core 4.9, ring 4.1
5080 = +390/2100
All of this is in a no-name Amazon case, fully cooled with Arctic P14 Pro fans. The AIO is an Arctic Freezer 3 420mm to keep the OC temps in check.
On average I'm sitting at 55/60°C CPU and 65°C GPU with reasonable noise levels.
Really happy with this build — it gives me perfectly smooth VR on AMS2 and pretty clean performance on Flight Simulator too 🤩.
Open to any suggestions! 🫶🏻
Hello everyone
Just bought a new GPU, a Zotac RTX 5080 Solid OC, but can't get it to boot with signal on screen.
Have used DDU to clean all drivers, and here is my specs and what I have tried so far. Would welcome any help with appreciation.
🧾 Summary – RTX 5080 No Signal / VGA LED Issue
🖥️ Hardware
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X
RAM: 32 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4
PSU: Corsair RM1000e (with dedicated 12V-2x6 / 600W GPU cable)
GPU 1 (working): RTX 3080 Ti
GPU 2 (problem): Zotac RTX 5080 Solid OC
⚠️ Main Symptom
5080 produces no POST display output
Motherboard stops at VGA LED (white indicator)
Monitor behavior:
Detects signal input (DisplayPort/HDMI active)
Then shows “No signal”
System remains stable (no reboot loop or instability)
GPU fans spin at startup
GPU 12VHPWR LED is green (power/connector OK)
🔧 Troubleshooting Performed
✔ Power & cabling
PSU confirmed stable (RM1000e)
Dedicated 12V-2x6 cable used
GPU power LED shows green (connection OK)
No signs of power delivery failure
✔ Display & signal
Tested HDMI and DisplayPort
Tested multiple screens (monitor + TV)
Cables and displays work with other GPU
✔ GPU testing
RTX 3080 Ti works perfectly in the same system
RTX 5080:
Installed and reinstalled multiple times
Reseated multiple times
Power cables rechecked and swapped between tests
✔ BIOS / motherboard
BIOS updated to latest stable version
VGA LED consistently triggered only by 5080
CSM / UEFI settings not yet fully tested (planned, last solution?)
PCIe Gen3 forced mode not yet tested (planned, last solution?)
✔ Physical checks
Multiple GPU reseats performed
Power cables reconnected multiple times
Slot contact considered OK since 3080 works reliably
📊 Observations
GPU receives power (fans + green LED)
GPU never completes video output initialization
System consistently stops at VGA stage in POST
No instability or reboot behavior
Entire system works normally with previous GPU
Got the PNY OC. Along with an LG 32" 4k 240hz WOLED.
Was previously on a 1070 8gb on 1440p.
My gosh it's unreal the difference!
Edit: this is at 1440p not 4k and still only getting 45fps.
Ryzen 9800x3d
Rtx5080
32gb ddr5 cl32 ram.
Bios, gpu drivers, and windows all up to date. But only getting around 45fps with max settings and path tracing on. When watching videos online to compare i should be getting around 100fps. I verified i am using the dedicated gpu and not the I gpu. Whats the next steps to take? Gpu is around 60c so its not over heating or nothing like that.
Even though it’s an SFF card, in my opinion, it really fits the Alien aesthetic well.
Curious what everyone is running.
- DLAA
- Quality
- Balanced
- Performance
I've been sticking with Quality since it seems like the sweet spot for image quality and FPS. But now I'm starting to wonder if I'm just placebo'ing myself into thinking it looks much better than Balanced, or if there's actually a noticeable difference at 4K.
Performance is the only one that really stands out to me. I feel like I notice more pop-ins occurring more.
What do you all usually run, and why?
Hello!
Just bought the rtx 5080 pny ,also my first pc
I am wondering what to do now like what is the perfect settings ?is there a video that can show baby steps on what to do? What should I download first?
I have a nano ips screen and I am aiming at 2k gaming
OC on 5080
+300 core +2000 memory
Finally got my 5080 installed, this card has really impressed me. Decent overclock lead to 67C peak at 388W, fans were super quiet. Main thing I was worried about was coil whine but I have zero!!! Definitely an impressive card for being a “cheap 5080”.
For reference my stock score was 8034 at 59C
Daily driver UV and OC is set to .950 at 3000 core +2000 memory, 62C peak at 346W and it scored 8487. Extremely stable in games so I will keep my undervolt where it’s at 💪🏻
UPDATE-
I followed your suggestions and reinstalled drivers along with other stuff and my scores are much better.
Stock: 8430 at 62C
.975 @3000 + 2000: 8946 at 62C
+350 + 2000: 9267 at 66C
New daily driver is .950 @3000 + 2000 memory: 9015 score at 62C pulling 344W
I have a M-ATX build so ventilation is good not great . Thank you all for your suggestions she’s running way better now 🔥
My 5080 came! I couldn’t be happier honestly. Thank you to all who gave their insight on my last post.
Seriously though this thing is absolutely massive?
A comparison between the 5080 and 5070ti.
Hope you all got a nice slice of Pizza, have a great weekend!
