For those that plan on start reading, that's the time it took me to reach chapter 1724.

Here are the stats:

9 minutes 48 seconds per chapter.

Some paragraphs were skipped, some time wasn't counted. They cancel each other so it's plus minus 8 hours.

I haven't reach the end yet, paused on may bc school. Will update with total time after I finish!

Hi, I just installed Linux Mint 22.3 "Zena" Cinnamon Edition for an old pc. It's for my dad, comes from windows 10 that had malware. Instead of moving to w11 I decided this windows-looking distro would be fine, since he just uses the browser.

After the installation I configured everything fine, updating all the apps and checking the drivers and firewall. After my dad started using it started freezing (watch videos). I tried to reproduce it consistently but I couldn't. What I noticed is it didn't freeze without having firefox open. From the 12 minute to the 16 of uptime it freezes, but sometimes it doesn't, even with firefox open.

After a freeze, if I shutdown and start the notebook again it freezes in the loading screen (watch image). After that I just restart again and it works fine.

Since there's no spike or something in RAM, CPU or disk I assume it's not a hw problem (also I used top -d 1 in the videos, it doesn't update because it's freezed).
