About to take my first full shower (with some help) Doctor says not to get the surgical tape soaked only trickles of water over my chest area and immediately dry it afterwards. Still looks kinda scary but hopefully everything goes well with in the healing process 🤞
This kinda sucks. It’s hard to not use my arms for anything even if I’m T-rexing it. I have to have help every time I wanna take a piss bc I can’t pull or push my pants.
Also need someone to lift me out of bed even if I try to sit up as much as I can. I tried to scoot myself to the edge this morning without help and ouch don’t do that.
My chest is more sore today bc yesterday when I had the surgery they had me on nerve blockers.
I can see why ppl complain about the chest wrap being tight. At first it wasn’t so bad and kind of comforting but now it kinda hurts you just kinda have to distract yourself from it.
I ate a salad today and drank a protein drink and half a protein bar for lunch but then my stomach started cramping bad. I might have done too much protein.
Had to take more pain meds bc I feel like it’s gonna be harder to sleep tonight.
You only get prescribed so much with no refills so I try to use them sparingly
And pro tip: buy a back scratcher bc I didn’t.
Every time my head/foot/leg itches I have to be very
careful when I itch it.
I do however have a mastectomy pillow and I do think it helps even if it looks ridiculous
It’s a mental and physical challenge but I know it’ll be worth it.
So I think I’m draining fine so far but one of them even though it is draining it keeps filling back up with air. It doesn’t have as much drainage as the other one that stays flat. Instead of drawing this little amount I’ll open it up and squeeze the air out again and just let it do its thing till it looks like to empty it again. This normal?
Update: I have called the emergency line bc it’s after hours but no one answered so I a left a message about the problem and I’m waiting to hear back. Thank you guys!
UPDATE❗️: they called back and I’m going back to the hospital to get it checked out and hopefully fixed! :) thanks guys
It’s all suddenly so real (in a good way). You dream about it for years and think it may never happen but next thing you know suddenly it’s the day before and you’re so excited you’re buzzing. It’s been a whole ass process and a long road but worth it. I don’t really know what to do with myself and I’m a little nervous. Tomorrow morning I’m saying goodbye to the tits. DI w/no nipples 😆
Low-key freaking tf out about how the results will look.
Also scared about how hard the recovery will be.

Does this qualify? Sometimes I have a hard time determining if something fits the GVC aesthetic or if it’s something from the same period but a different/similar aesthetic. I feel like a lot of it can overlap.
