If I use a mixture of wood glue and saw dust to fill holes on a project that I plan on covering with epoxy will I end up with an uneven surface? Thinking the epoxy will sink into holes faster than solid wood.

This area on the patio collects water after a rain or sprinklers. It will stand on this spot until it evaporates. The patio was sealed with two coats last fall with a water based acrylic. This is the only place on the patio that this has occurred. Any suggestions?
