Tonight I was supposed to see Oliver Tree in concert for the first time.

I celebrated tonight with my kids. Took them out for a fun night and they enjoyed themselves. Then we listened to Oliver Tree on the way home. It was a nice evening and I’m happy I got to spend it with my babies. It was difficult not to think about the concert that I wanted so badly to go to though. I was so excited to be in the same room as Oliver and now, like many others, I will never have that chance. It feels silly to be so devastated. It’s not like he knew who I was but I’m still really sad about his death. I really feel like he deserved more life. Idk what my point is here I’m just kind of rambling my feelings but I have no one else to talk to about them. Tonight just really hit hard. I just wanted to be in the same room as someone I admired so much. It feels like such a cruel reality to have to accept he’s really gone.

I’m so sad

I just haven’t been able to stop being sad about Oliver Tree passing away. The manor in which he died just horrifies me and I also can’t believe someone so full of life, who just released an album and started a world tour is now gone. I bought tickets to see him in August and now, obviously, that’s never going to happen. My 4 year old loves him as well. We’ve listened to him for a long time. I told my son that he died and he told me “maybe he will come back”. It literally broke my heart to have this conversation with him. A part of me still doesn’t want to believe it’s real. I had to explain death and heaven the best I could to my young child. It’s just be an emotional time for us. I can’t even imagine how his family and friends are feeling. I’ve been having dreams about him, my son is still obsessed with his music and I just feel so bad for him as well because idk if he even understands the concept of what I told him. He does know Oliver won’t come back. I’m just really struggling with this and I want to not feel so alone. No one I know really loved Oliver the way I do so it’s just a lonely time. I just don’t know how to move on when someone so young and someone I admired so much is gone.
