I just tried my Engine for the first time. I charged it full before using it. The fan stayed on for about 20-30 minutes then went off and subsequently disconnected from the GGG. Nothing in the app could get it back on, I tried manually turning the dial and it wouldn’t come back on. I plugged it in again and the fan works just fine while plugged in. As soon as I unplug though it dies again.

I waited for well over a year and it seems mine is a dud!

Pic is what it looks like now that the battery died. It was connected and working fine for the first half hour or so.

If anyone has an SnS Master Kettle, the Engine BARELY fits on the smoke hole, no drilling required. I say barely because there’s a horizontal metal bar that really looked like it was gonna be a real problem for the fit. But I just barely made the engine fit. FYI I used just the stock mounting kit that comes with the Engine, no additional mounting bracket required.

Looking forward to my first cook with it!
