i hate that i wasted my gov scholarship on a US university. I wish i can go back in time and tell myself to go to a country that respects me and doesn't treat me like a criminal

my overall experience has been awful, maybe because its a in a red state but i doubt it would've been drastically diff in other states. that and the uncertainty under this administration has made me feel hopeless for my future. I'm not sure what to do once i graduate. opt is looking bleak. so id be forced to go back to my home country living in toxic abusive household. I'm from a very conservative Muslim country where women still barely have any rights. studying abroad was my only hope of independence and a dignified future. now that i think about the only reason my dad allowed me to travel alone to the US (which he was pushing hard for me to apply for universities only there) because he knew this country is impossible to immigrate to, and id forced back crawling to my family like a loyal dog. sorry for the rant i needed to vent

PhD oncology

Graduated with a BS in CS (during covid cheated my way through, ik I shouldn’t have but i was depressed and didnt know what to do, looking back i was clearly unhappy with this major and should’ve pivoted). Couldn’t find a job so instead of being unemployed i thought maybe a ms in Cybersecurity would be better and Id focus more on GRC side and start a career in that where its less on the technical side. However im still miserable. I absolutely hate it , my gpa is decent but i really dont see myself working in corporate. Especially with how the tech market is now, makes me less motivated. I want a career that makes me have a purpose. Since going to therapy and started meds ive realized ive always wanted work in oncology, its too late for med school now but is a PhD in cancer related program feasible? I’m an international student so my only option for another degree is a PhD. I’d do anything just give me a chance

International Student studying in the US want to visit Canada for a few days

Hi everyone, I’m thinking of visiting Canada before my program ends. Can i apply for visitor visa if i don’t have a fixed date of traveling in mind? Can i only travel during university break or holiday? If it’s anytime during the semester that fits my schedule would that be ok? I’m worried about getting denied entrance lol

Most cases i see here that had success with their approvals are 90% marriage based or EB2 NIW. Kinda scared and losing hope

Got admitted to a PhD but realized pretty quickly that research life just isn’t for me and thankfully i have the option to opt out with a masters. So I’ll be graduating May next year instead then initial OPT > OPT STEM > Hb1 (i think) > EB2 process? That’s the plan but the more i read online and the delays and uncertainty under this administration is giving me a bit of a panic. It seems that even if you do everything by the book and submit on time, there is a chance i get rejected. Also I’m painfully introverted so I’m not sure how well I’ll do in job interviews or interview related to PR processing or even networking :(((( ideally id want a remote job, its difficult as is to land an entry job let alone a remote one (probably isnt recommended for pathway to PR anyway)

A few things I’m anxious about:
1- what if i don’t find a job?
2- do i need extraordinary skill set to be worthy of employment? What happens to an average joe like me who just wants a decent job and life in this country?

Sorry for the rant, i just feel overwhelmed and scared
