Hi everyone,
I’ve been following this group for the past few months since my boyfriend’s arrest, and I wanted to thank everyone here. This community has been an invaluable source of information and support during a time when I felt completely lost and overwhelmed.
I’m hoping to hear from people who have personal experience with, or have supported a loved one through, a state CSAM conviction.
What were probation, treatment, and registration requirements like in practice? What were the biggest challenges during the first year? How difficult was it to find and maintain employment? Were there restrictions that caught you by surprise? What helped you or your loved one successfully move forward and rebuild life?
As a partner trying to understand what the future may realistically look like, I’d be grateful for any experiences, insights, or advice you’re willing to share.
