Would immigration status influence your decision to marry someone?

I have a hypothetical question and would genuinely like to hear people's opinions, especially from people who have been in relationships with foreigners.

Imagine you meet someone from another country, you develop a genuine relationship, you get along very well, and eventually you start considering marriage. However, you know that getting married could also help that person with their immigration status in your country.

Would knowing that influence your decision to get married?

And on the other side, if you were the person whose immigration status could potentially benefit from the marriage, would you feel comfortable marrying someone knowing that it could also make your immigration process easier?

I'm not talking about fake marriages, paying someone to get married, or trying to circumvent immigration laws. I'm simply curious about how people feel about this factor when there is already a genuine relationship and marriage is being seriously considered.

Would it make you more hesitant, or would it not really matter as long as the relationship itself was genuine?

¿Qué me recomiendan visitar?
