Hello all. I'm making a story for the TTRPG Mutants and Masterminds, and I need some lame-o villains for two purposes. First, I want to put some as random encounters to give the heroes time to test their abilities. Second, there will be a robotic parasite with Body Control abilities as the main antagonist. It will be using controlled D tiers as its henchmen and I'd like to use a wide variety of them. Any ideas and concepts are welcome, as broad or simple as you'd like

Hi there. Soon to be first time DM here, trying to grasp the power system. I'm making an NPC which has the power to turn into a small flock of crows (like, 10-12 individuals). So I was thinking about how to make it work. Turning into a single crow is easy, Flight, Shrink, Morph (with Metamorph extra)... But how do I make it multiple crows ? I was thinking of Summon I guess ? But it seems a bit too complex for my purposes. And like, does that mean that my NPC turns into one crow and summons 11 others ?

If anyone has an idea on a clean way to make this power in a reality, please let me know^^

I know this question is probably really stupid, but it's 4AM and I'm obsessing over it, so forgive me for not being at the top of my mental faculties.

Basically, I'm confused about the purpose of listing general Modifiers with Effects.

For instance, Concealment has Affect Others, Area, Attack and Precise listed as it's Extras, but Damage has no Extras listed.

I'm seeing a few ways this could make sense:

a) An Effect can only have the listed Modifiers

b) An Effect with listed Modifiers is limited to those, but an Effect without a Modifiers list can use any

c) The listed Modifiers are just guidelines on what works best

d) Something else entirely

Hello all ! I'm not much of a reader. I finished my last book, the Green Mile, in the summer of 2023. Haven't been able to pick up anything since. But right now I feel the crave. So I'm here to look for recommendations.

What I'm looking for is Eldritch Horror. I never read any and I'm very curious to try it out. I'm thinking something low scale, not an apocalypse but moreso one person being driven insane, a town in the midsts of a conspiracy, a group of friends being attacked by a cult, not a story with worldwide consequences.

The next part isn't as important, but still would be nice. I want something linked to the sea. On a boat, in a coastal town, in a lighthouse, an oil rig, anything. I don't know why, I just feel like it.
