I have meet and greet tix and people have been telling me to show him but I’m worried that’s an arse move. If not what should I say or do I’m nervous aye

Hey it’s my birthday coming up and I wanna get a bass.

I’m 14 and starting to learn instruments and stuff more and more, I’ve been composing and making music for a lil over a year and wanna start playing more. I’ve been using my brothers guitar for that which he doesn’t really use or know how to use.

I’ve started taking weekly lessons and practicing heaps, but I wanna learn bass at the same time.
I really wanna learn thunder cat bass lines too and I know he uses a six.

So my question is, would it be a bad idea to start with a six string? I mean when I’m taking my begginer lessons and learning begginer songs I’ll probs only use the middle four anyway, but I’d rather have the six now then have to upgrade later.
At the same time tho I don’t wanna be that guy with all the gear and no idea. So what do you think?

New rock/metal fan here, been listening to albums my friends recommended me, I’ve been a massive hip hop fan for a few years but anyway.
