Olight ArkFeld Ultra, poorly anodized

I read that the blue model had a bad anodizing finish; does anyone know if they've fixed it yet? I'm thinking of buying one in blue right now.

Is there a difference in resistance? Or are they currently the same?

New day of repair attempt

My friend left me his Soonfire FD38S flashlight because it didn't work, it could be anything, but he told me that maybe it was because some water would have come in

I didn't know what to expect when I took it apart.

Screws with worn heads and difficult to remove despite having a variety of precision tips.

A system with many screws in which everything is attached, almost no piece comes out in parts...

This is the result, the battery and part of the connecting plate are definitely corroded, where the spring is.

As soon as I sent him the photos and video I took, he told me to buy him the Sofirn BS01 that I previously showed him, which when I asked for advice here, was the one many of you told me.

Now I just hope it works for your mountain bike, and that it will happen to you just like this one, since this material that the Soonfire has is stronger and stronger than the Sofirn, and for the mountain that shows a lot...

I will still try to remove all the rust, clean it well and see if I can fix it, although it is difficult because of the already wet electronics, so I will most likely keep it for spare parts.

That if anyone could tell me if the battery that is not so rusty (penultimate photo) if I could recover it and use it, or it is not safe

Thank you for watching this disassembly!

Bike flashlights

Hello guys!

Today a friend asked me for advice to put a flashlight on his bike, he says he wants it to reach about 50 meters, but to give a lot of amplitude, to see on the sides

I thought of an M21B with LHP73B or LHP531, as I feel they are good configurations

The problem is that it wants about 3 hours of operation, so yes or yes it has to be a flashlight with 21700 and give it about 1500 lumens

He also asked me for help with a front lantern, as he wants to see the one he will have on the handlebars of his mountain bike on his handlebars independently.

The requirements are that it does not weigh too much, I think a 21700 is quite heavy on the head and that it is resistant to moisture/light rain

And the requirements of the other are that it be resistant to moisture/light rain, because all the previous ones it had were damaged by this, so having built-in load is not what we are looking for. And let the battery last 3 hours (it doesn't have to be turboted all the time, you can adjust it)

I don't know how Convoy's biking mode works.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'm looking for an all-terrain flashlight. I had the L35 2.0 in 6000k and I didn't like it; I generally hate white light. I want a 21700k flashlight for traveling across the country without worrying about it getting damaged, because I enjoy night hiking.

I don't know how good Acebeam is at 4000k, I read that it's green, according to some

Perhaps I could replace the transmitter myself? With one that has better CRI?
