Hamilton Green Landscaping Review - Terrible Experience

I just wanted to post this so others don't end up having the same experience I did.

I hired Hamilton Green to relay an existing patio, place black granite around the perimeter of the patio, regrade some areas of my yard, and perform some other landscaping work.

The communication during the sales process was great. Super easy to get ahold of, but once issues with the initial install were identified, getting ahold of Stan Hamilton became nearly impossible.

the first two photos are the initial result of their work. the remaining photos are the warranty work.

The first time they relaid my patio it was installed 2" below grade and part of it sloped towards the house so it became a swimming pool.

They eventually came to "fix" it under warranty and and added 2" of sand to raise the interlock. They did not address the drainage issue so now the water pools underneath the interlock.

Overall the warranty repair looks worse than the original patio did.

The relay was performed during the week of the tornados.

The foreman who started the warranty work was excellent. He stated a French drain would be installed to help address the pooling issue and brought extra granite to fill in the surrounding areas to meet the new height of the patio.

The job was only half complete when the weather turned bad. For some reason the foreman was removed from my project after the weather event and Stan returned with a different crew to complete the work himself. He did not regrade the sand affected by the weather resulting in some terrible workmanship defects.

The patio does not touch the edging so when it was ran over with the plate tamper large gaps appeared from the interlock settling improperly, some stones were installed upside down, poor drainage, the entire job is uneven with interlock installed at uneven heights, improper grading so water does not flow properly, a large hump left at one side due to not levelling the sand base, insufficient polymeric sand used, and they didn't sweep off the polymeric when they were finished resulting in staining on the bricks.

The French drain was never installed as promised, and Stan had the additional granite hauled away rather than place it around the patio

When the crew left they also took 2 of my shovels and some other items with them.

They charge premium pricing but perform amateur level work. Hire at your own risk.
