Title: Should I shift to another city for UPSC 2027 preparation? Currently stuck at home and need some honest advice.

I want to shift somewhere else for my UPSC preparation. I live in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, and have lived here all my life. I recently completed my graduation from here as well.

I’m currently taking online coaching from Sarthi IAS for GS Foundation and Shubhra Ranjan for PSIR. I took both simultaneously but couldn’t manage them together, so I eventually went ahead with PSIR because the video access was expiring. Now I honestly feel like I’m at nowhere. My PSIR is also not great and I don’t even know how to properly assess what I have covered or what they actually taught me.
My target is UPSC 2027, and I’m having a bit of an existential crisis about how to recover and restart everything.

I’m thinking of shifting to Hyderabad or somewhere else for some time. I’ve lived at home all my life, with very little exposure, and I feel like I need to experience living somewhere else, meet people, engage in learning and build my personality a little as well.

I’m also planning to give CUET-PG and hopefully get into JNU or another good college later.

So, for anyone who has been in a similar situation, what would you suggest? Is shifting somewhere actually worth it for UPSC prep, and if yes, where? Or should I stay home and try to rebuild everything from here?
