Help! Crealityscan immediately crashes to desktop.
I have a creality otter which worked fine in September 2025, I was able to get some great quality scans with it at the time. None of my hardware changed, but when I fired it up again today, crealityscan won't get past the splash screen and just crashes. I updated crealityscan, still immediately crash. I reinstalled my AMD 9070xt graphics drivers, still immediate crash.
So what changed? Do I need to update the firmware?I can't use the app to figure out what my firmware version is since it won't work, but it certainly isn't later than September 2025. I found the logs in the appdata folder but I can't tell what they mean. I tried running the app in safe mode, and it allowed me to interact with the UI, but it cannot connect the scanner in safe mode.
Do I need to roll back some windows updates to update the firmware? Do I need to switch to Nvidia? The error logs seem to show that the app was connecting to the otter before crashing, but does it show the otter's firmware version?
