Hey all!

I’m after something pretty specific: a game with a genuinely good (true) solo mode that also plays really well as a head-to-head duel with two people.

For context: my boyfriend will play games with me sometimes, and when he does, we both love duel-style games the most. But I also want something I can pull out and play by myself when he’s not in the mood or not around. So ideally one game that covers both itches instead of needing two separate collections.

I recently picked up The Lost Expedition and the solo mode is genuinely tense and fun, and the head-to-head mode is just as good. That’s basically the gold standard I’m chasing.

Nice-to-haves:
- Deck-building mechanics would be a huge plus (we love the deckbuilding in “HP: Hogwarts Battle”, for example)
- Light to medium complexity (nothing too rules-heavy)
- Quick/easy setup (I don’t want a 20-minute teardown-and-setup ritual every time)
