Advice for new author
hello everyone,
I know i am not that old to give anyone advice but i will share what i get to know after joining webnovel.
What you should not do:-
1.Use Ai to generate the chapter and whole novel-You should not use ai for creating plot adding sensory details or enhancing the story
Why: because it makes the story worst AI usually repeat the same idea use pre existing phrases and mostly copy from popular novels which creates the story souless
If you ignore and try to upload mostly people will see your novel read somelines and leave the novel (they know Ai patterns.)
2.Dont be overdefensive/aggresive : no one gonna judge you... on your post, be polite and accept everyone thought and do what majority says..
3.try not to involve in spams: some people usually comment or rate your story and then ask you if you need paid promotion etc.
those are spam dont believe them and never reply is the simple solution.
Tips:
1.Outline: Create a proper outline for your story/arc it will help you perform well in the journey and most important in long runs
its better than blindly writing and using this can prevent writer block or burnout.
2.Dont expect things much: if you think i have a idea that no one have or my story will burst start its not going like that
Writing is just like Rpg game you cann't fight lvl1000 boss on lvl 1 it needs grind and patience, if you upload and expect immedate progress or success its not going to happen
So,start and dont focus on result immedate (unless its smut but sometime it will also dont work) after 1-2 month of consistent upload it will surly show progress(not burst) but its aways better to start slow
3.Read: just read it will help you a lot
My recommandation: SS,LOTR,other popular series...
4.READER COUNT IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: reader count is just people who see the novel not who read effective reader are who read it.
5.Just write: you should not see your skills or try to do perfect things just write whatever you have ,no one will ever able see it if you don't stop chasing perfectism its more about improving with time having consistency and just start writing the things you like

Everyone start like this and its the hardest stage to pass then everything will be good(not going to be easy but yes not that hard)
