PROLOGUE
Shimmering grass stretched endlessly beneath the night sky, swaying gently in the passing breeze.
The land was vast and open, broken only by a few low hills rising gently from the earth. Small clusters of tiny insects drifted across the grass, their bodies glowing with a soft blue light that flickered through the darkness, scattering faint specks of blue across the sea of grass — like stars in the sky above.
Beyond the hills lay a magnificent lake, its waters stretching so far that one could not tell where the lake ended and the sky began. The vast surface lay calm, mirroring the enormous moon and the river of stars above, their pale light washing over the world.
At the shore, a herd of magnificent beasts moved peacefully through the water. They were enormous—the largest among them rose from the lake like living mountains, their bodies nearly rivalling the hills around the lake in size. Even the younger ones were far from small.
Yet despite their colossal size, there was a strange gentleness to them. Some of them stood half-submerged, swaying in the cool water, letting it wash over them. Others lowered their great heads to drink, sending small waves rolling across the surface. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the low grunts of the beasts permeated the silent night, bringing life to it.
The young ones stayed close to the adults, brushing against them, or nudging one another playfully.
And for now, they were at peace.
Until one of them stopped.
Its enormous body trembled for a moment and then went still. The water erupted around it as its massive frame slowly collapsed into the lake.
The herd turned toward it at once. Several beasts pushed through the water, one by one, surrounding the fallen creature, their movements frantic despite their usual calm. One of the smaller beasts forced its way to the front — still enormous compared to most living things, yet small beside the fallen elder. It pressed its head against the still body.
Nothing.
It pushed again.
Still nothing.
A low, mournful sound rose from its throat. The others gathered close around the two.
Then the air changed.
A faint shimmer appeared near the lake’s shore. More specks of light started to appear. The next moment, they began to converge, twisting upon themselves, slowly taking the shape of a person—that of a young woman. A simple piece of red cloth draped over her body.
She stood small against the creatures below — not even reaching a quarter the height of the young. For a moment, she just stood there, looking at the herd. Then she started to walk towards them. Her feet touched the water, but did not go under. She walked forward, her figure moving across the surface with each step producing faint ripples on the lake.
As she approached them, the beasts started to notice her presence one by one. And one by one, they began kneeling, lowering their massive frames to the ground as she passed. The herd fell utterly silent. Every one of them knew who she was.
She crossed the water. It took only moments to reach the fallen beast. The creatures around it bowed — all but one. The young beast stayed pressed against its parent's body, refusing to move.
The lady stopped beside it and looked into its eyes. There was no fear there, only grief.
She reached out and laid a hand on its enormous head. The creature flinched, then stilled, calmed by her touch. For a moment, neither of them moved.
Then she turned to the fallen beast and pressed her palm against its side.
A faint light stirred beneath her hand. At first, there was a small glow, then it spread, soft white radiance seeping from the creature's body and gathering into countless points of light, settling slowly into the air. The herd watched in silence as the lights drew together, taking shape before them. A vast, ethereal silhouette. The fallen beast — not its body, but something more. A figure woven entirely of starlight.
It lowered its head. The young beast recognised it at once and moved forward. The luminous figure bent down, letting the young one snuggle against it one last time. For a brief moment, they remained like that. The child closed its eyes.
Then the figure began to dissolve, its form scattering into countless points of light that drifted upward — higher, and higher — until they vanished into the night.
The child stayed where it was. The rest of the herd moved slowly toward it. One by one, they started pressing their heads against the young beast—surrounding the grieving creature with comfort they could offer.
The woman watched them for a while. Then she turned and walked back, the moonlight trailing her across the water.
When she reached the shore, someone, or something, was already there, waiting.
Watching the herd. Watching her. Watching everything.
Its form was tall and slender, draped in what seemed to be a long flowing robe which reached the ground. Its surface was dark, yet it shone with a light brighter than what seemed possible.
A halo of dark light floated behind the robed figure. As the woman made her way towards it, the halo behind it turned to face her, like an eye, looking at her.
She stopped a short distance away. She knew who the figure in front of her was.
For a moment, neither of them spoke, the silence stretching between them like the lake below. Then she closed the distance and came to stand beside it.
"GOD… I had something to ask you," she said, addressing the robed figure.
"What is it you wanted to ask of me, Eleanor?" an ethereal voice answered the woman. It seemed to come from the figure before her, yet simultaneously, from the world itself.
She glanced back down toward the lake, where the herd was still gathered around the grieving child, their great heads bowed together in the moonlight. Something in her expression softened — grief, or something close to it — before she turned back to face GOD.
"GOD…" she said, "Why did you give them life if it was to end so soon? Why must you give them death to experience life? Can life not exist without an end?"
GOD didn't answer right away. The halo turned to look past her, toward the herd.
"Death," the voice spoke at last. "Is it a curse, as you see it? Everything can exist forever— but without an end, is it truly alive?"
"If you could make everyone immortal," Eleanor pressed, "Then why didn't you? Losing someone you love is painful. Why bring their time together to an end at all?"
"Immortality is not a blessing, Eleanor." The voice was quiet, but it seemed to carry the weight of eternity itself. "I have already given them the greatest blessing I could, mortality. Death is what brings meaning to life. Without it, what reason is there to grow? To live? To try to live? Death is painful. But the absence of it is even more so."
Unconvinced, Eleanor’s eyes drifted back to the lake. "Yet they spend their lives searching for a way to escape it."
"Mortals chase eternal life, seeking salvation from death," GOD said, "While immortals would chase death, seeking salvation from eternity."
Eleanor looked at GOD, turning the words over. "Then are mortals foolish, for chasing something they can never attain?"
"No," GOD said, without hesitation. "The living chase what is unattainable. That is not foolishness, Eleanor. It is proof that they are alive."
"How so?"
GOD looked at her now, and for the first time there was something almost gentle in it. "Because to live is to desire what you do not have, to reach for what lies beyond your grasp. Even when they know they may never attain it, they still try. That desire, that struggle... that is part of what makes them alive."
Eleanor turned quiet for a moment. Then a new thought seemed to surface in her mind, and she tilted her head toward GOD.
"Then, GOD, what about you? Are you not eternal? Do you not grow tired of eternity? Do you not feel the need for an end?"
The dark halo flickered for a moment, almost unnoticeably.
"That question is of no matter, Eleanor," GOD said, turning their gaze back toward the water. "I exist to bring salvation to all. That is the meaning I have chosen for my life."
Eleanor said nothing to that. Her eyes drifted down toward the lake, to the grieving child still pressed close by its herd, still surrounded, still not alone. She watched them for a long moment before turning to look back at GOD.
"But GOD," she said softly, "If GOD is to bring salvation to all... then who is to bring salvation to GOD?”
I don't see the reason that people read smut webnovels
Like I understand why there's a lot smut webnovels
People read them
But why?? I don't get it if you just want to goon you can just go to the hub
I could never fathom on why would people READ their porn
Dawg😭😭😭 what's this who starts a Conversation like that
I was wondering how many chapters I should have in reserve if I want to be a contracted writer, and how many I should post a day
So, I am writing a cultivation novel. It has smut because I need money, and I tried with a normal novel, but it didn't work.
Now my question is, can any writers tell me in smut scene how much I can describe? Like, should I name the body parts as they are, or should I change the name to something like "dragon," "cave," "mountain," etc.? Also, how much do I have to describe the scene?
BTW, it's chapter 17 of my novel.
This is the second time this account has contacted me. They don't seem to give up. If anyone is falling for this, let me tell you what happens. They contact you saying your book has good potential and they would promote your work with some plans. Later they will ask you to buy the plan and ask money for it. I had contacted this same account in discord just to check what they do.
There is obviously the main plot, but should there also be smaller plot points being addressed. Are they even necessary, or do they just make the novel more enjoyable?
Just in case: By mini-plot points, I mean smaller things that get resolved or progressed alongside the main plot.

Synopsis: In the vastness of the Marvel Multiverse, a dark universe poses a threat — not to the others — to itself.
A failed experiment meant to weaponize the cosmic power of the Infinity Stones, leads to the erasure of all life and the destruction of the universe.
However, the remnants of 'Project Genesis' survive, bound to a cosmic ring. It now seeks to obtain a new vessel to finish what its masters started.
A being whose mind, soul, and body would become the key to rebuilding the fragmented powers of the Infinity Stones.
{Compatible Host Found.}
The system discovers and merges with the young Leon Cross. A normal human kid born on Earth.
After being transported from the dying universe to a new reality, Young Justice, Leon is forced to adapt to a new world of heroes — Superboy, Robin, Aqualad etc — aliens. As his power's grow, so do the various universal threats that seek to identify and claim the mysterious powers that have suddenly appeared in their universe.
At the same time, he is tasked with unlocking and piecing together the fragments of Space, Mind, Power, Reality, Soul, and Time, through the guidance of The Infinity System.

Just a new writer, writing for fun — love writing and interacting with readers. Bare with me please. I'm learning as I go.
Criticism is advised. I believe I'll learn a lot from your opinions and ideas. And I'ma do my best to make it interesting step by step...
Minimum Word Count: 1.1k words.
Note: The Young Justice cover and images of the stones aren't mine. I used AI to put them together.
Should the owners wish for them to be removed, I will find a compromise.
I had to delete the previous one because...
...I am brain dead😭
I am just 5 chapters in, without actual nsfw writing. The way it's accumulating thousand views and few collections each day despite my irregular schedule gives me anxiety attacks if this is botted or what
My work also got vetted today and I'm wondering if nsfw works are eligible for contract.
I just realized that I should not have made my story a smut novel.
Wile it dose contain explicit mature content, its more lore adventurer and action focused.
From what I have seen on webnovel, smut fallen into 4 categories.( i made the names up)
Heavy smut: 18+ every 2 chapters, aka garbage
High smut: 18+ every 6-8 chapters.
Low smut: 18+ every 15-20 chapters.
Is it even smut: 25+
I lost a lot of my readers when they found out that it's not category 1-3, but im still happy that I have readers who love my novel despite everything.
