Seventeen year old Big Foot - not good ...
No, it was AWEsome! Expected an oxidized mess, but received an extremely complex and surprisingly drinkable elixir. Still created a mild head and a good layer of yeast sediment was compacted in the base of the bottle. I always found Bigfoot to be overly heavy on the hops bitterness when fresh and now this was beautifully balanced. A well orchestrated symphony of traditional malt tones pre dominated with just faint oxidative hints of tobacco and shoe leather. The finish just didn't want to stop, and neither did I.
