Tales of Malifaux Master Index (Ongoing Project)

Tales of Malifaux Master Index (Ongoing Project)

So I got into Malifaux about 4 months ago, and am trying to catch up on all the lore by going through the Tales of Malifaux podcasts.

For others just getting into it, I thought it might be helpful to make a index of episodes based on which master is featured, so people are able to dive into the stories of the characters they like.

It's an ongoing project - the first 60 episodes are listed, and I'm adding additional episodes every week.

Check it out here, hope it is helpful!

Update: Following a suggestion I made the workbook editable, allowing others to add lore related indices as they wish. (The first page with the Tales of Malifaux stuff is locked, though.)

Caught in a Blizzard

I'm very new at model painting, but having a great time. Just completed the first team I ever painted. I tried to capture the lava/snow vibe of the planet Fenris, but I'm not sure if I like it - that snow makes the Space Wolves a little too messy maybe.

Malifaux Quest Battle Report!

Since some of you asked, here is a battle report from our aberrant Malifaux/Hero Quest mashup last night.

There is only one way to do this:

- The best part of Malifaux Quest is all the board squares are exactly one inch, allowing you to put that tape measure back in the garage where it belongs.

- The best part of Malifaux Quest is doing away with single vague archetypes ("Elf," "Dwarf") and having a whole team of intriguing chracters with complex backstories.

- The best part of Malifaux Quest is getting rid of the silly dice and using cards like a grown-up gambler guy.

- The best part of Malifaux Quest is that the tight quarters and no verticality essentially eliminate most LoS and movement abilities, giving all the advantage to melee bashers, as it should be.

- The best part of Malifaux Quest is the aforementioned tight quarters probably render the majority of crews unviable, saving you money on models.

- But the best part of Malifaux Quest is battling in rooms full of tiny furniture.

Saturday Night- Malifaux Quest!

Do we have any idea if these systems are compatible?

- No

Have we developed any sort of rule base or plan to make this workable before we start?

-Also no

Do we have enough knowledge of either ruleset to make this possibly work?

-Certainly not

Is this the way we should spend our Saturday night?

-Absolutely
