I'm worried about my friend

I'm worried about my friend for more than one reason. She's a friend from college. We used to be really close, even briefly romantic, but I now live on the other side of the country. We've kept in touch, and recently we've been talking more after she reached out for help with money. I know she's in a really abusive relationship, and she has nobody other than him. She can't keep a job because she says he gets drunk and won't let her sleep. I've been encouraging her to go to a shelter since there's nothing I can physically do from here. She's hesitant, but we're working on it.

I also suspect she's struggling with alcohol herself. Her "boyfriend" is an alcoholic, and she says she only drinks when he does so he "doesn't drink the entire 30 pack and get cruel." That means she's drinking as often as he is, which is constantly.

But that's not why I'm posting. I'm worried she's dealing with something more serious mentally. Some days our conversations are completely normal and flow like they always have. Other days she doesn't make sense at all. Her thoughts are disjointed, she answers with things unrelated to what we're talking about, and when I ask her to explain, the explanations are even more confusing. I don't think she's drunk because her drunk texts are pretty obvious. What is going on here?

Can I pull off a mustache?

I've always been scared to let it grow past this. Every week I leave it till last and look at it. Honest opinion. Would I look better?

Proof that fish are only scared of bubbles!

I just got certified to dive closed circuit and I never realized how much noise open circuit makes or how much that affects wildlife behavior. On a rebreather, the fish will almost literally run into you!

Proof that fish are only scared of bubbles

I just got certified to dive closed circuit and it is a game changer. I never realized how noisy open circuit is or how much it affects the wildlife behavior. When you're not blowing bubbles and making noise, the fish will almost literally run into you!

The photo doesn't do it justice. Check out the video!

First Rebreather Dive!

I'm in the process of getting certified on this rEVO Micro III. We did our first open water session Tuesday and it was amazing! This was always something that I saw other people doing and never thought I would be doing myself Closed circuit diving is pretty neat stuff.

Here's a video of me figuring out I have no idea how to control my buoyancy anymore. It's so quiet! Video
