I’d agree with the general sentiments here. There are streaks of progressive and lots of creativity that stand out from “standard” rock, especially in late 60s and early 70s. However, I feel Golden Earring might be better categorized as classic rock entities for all respective decades. Add your thoughts on this Reddit post. “Are they prog or what?”
Photos taken at Third Man Pressing Detroit on July 17th after Maria Chávez (chavezsayz on ig), experimental sound extraordinaire, broke and repurposed records being pressed here (which included White Stripes in Tasmania now being mailed to everyone). In addition to clinky-lampshade and microphone trickery, records were used in creative and inspiring ways (to me, as an experimental person). Some double stacked, some sticky and stretched, some pushed to their limits, she made unique noise-scapes in the stunning TMR pressing room. After, I got the record shard she used to slap the spinning records in the last photo, signed and hung on my wall.

I don’t know how this name change happened on Rinus’ Wikipedia, but I thought it was funny.

Switch is one of my favorite albums by Golden Earring, and the title track live in San Francisco is a load of fun.
Also really happy to see the announcements and releases of video and audio from One Last Night, especially those that got to see the live broadcast premiere.
